kozo will beat her 6-2 6-4
I doubt it would be that close.
A fit Serena could take games off a top junior/futures player. Seeing as she is one of the strongest female players in the world, her power would be on par with what he sees at his level. I'm sure he'd win, but it wouldn't be bagels and sticks. She's pretty darn good, when she's in fit form.
My girl served as a ball kid at Stanford this past summer for the WTA Bank of the West tournament. There were a few top WTA players warming up with some of the Stanford Men's players. I could tell that one of the guys was having a bit of a hard time maintaining rallies. What more with Serena, who I observe spanking the fuzz out of the balls during practice. She was out hitting her hitting partner who is a tall guy. With all due respect, I honestly don't think that Kozlow (I've heard of this kid but I've not seen him play) could win in a match against her, especially right now at his age....maybe a couple of years later.

Kozlov has wins over men in the top 700 in the world. Do you really think Serena can beat any man in the top 700 in the world.

Serena would have no chance against Kozlov.Deiton would also have no trouble beating Serena in a match. Im sure if they play baseline games to ten Serena and other WTA pros would have a chance but in a match Serena could not beat either Stefan or Deiton.
Thats a little over the top GA. Kozlov has a history since age 12 of beating older and higher ranked players. Year after year after year he does that.
DB has a history of beating lower ranked guys and always loses vs favorites. Peliwo toyed with him said coaching32years who saw the match. So lets not even put them in the same sentence right now. DB obviously has not learned how to play the game yet in huge matches, despite his physical tools. Serena would handle him easily, as would Kozlov. Serena and Kozlov are both at a higher level of tennis.
When i was playing college tennis i know without a doubt i could beat any women in the W.T.A.
Thats fine. I am talking about knowing how to win a big match.
On paper with his 130 mph serve and 4.6 forty time, etc, DB should own Peliwo, Kozlov, and Serena. Yet he does not. Like lots of guys with greater physical tools should be ranked high.....yet Ferrer is up their instead.
Some players win big matches, some can not.

I think you and I have finally found something we can agree on. Its starts young. I have seen so many little boys and their dads joke about girl's tennis....then the girls spank them in a practice match.
Same with the WTA. Guys think because they hit harder, and run faster they can beat all the WTA players.
The top WTAs train vs top men to hone their reaction times. They simply deflect the pace of the groundstrokes and serves as needed.
Serena would absorb the power and place the balls where she wanted to. She would have these bigger, stronger, harder hitters running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

Kozlov does not rely on power - he would make her move. He would not only beat her but would embarrass her.
Ha, the fragile male ego cracks me up. Serena would make him look like a child.
Chill out.....I coach a ton of girls, I have a tennis playing girl.....I live a mile from Serena....so I am stacking the deck in looking for reasons she would win.
And trying to get a rise out of the sensitive ego guys here as it makes me laugh.
Goodness, lots of nonsense here.
Wrong. He would not beat her. We won't convince each other to change our minds.
Karsten Braash was talented enough to reach #36 in the world. A guy with that talent could gain 15 pounds, smoke a pack a day and still school an 800th ranked player. Of course he beat a 16 year old Serena.
You are so wrong about the levels of tennis. A top 40 player is light years away from a 800 player.
Ga...that mental thing is the light years away. And perhaps the way their tennis brains process the game.
In tennis you can not talk one match or even one match up. tennis history is full of low ranked players taking a set off a high ranked player. Tennis is about a large body of work.
I thought it was a rolling points rankings, so can they really 'collect points'? Not an expert on how pro rankings work.
There are various types of 800s and 40s. A guy who peaks at 800, vs a guy who goes up and down based on his confidence, etc.
I just saying Kozlov could beat a guy who peaked at 800 and that was his ceiling. But a guy good enough to stay in the top 40 would embarrass him.
I love Kozlov but he would not be able to hang with Serena quite yet. Soon enough because he is going to be a MAN. Frankly, silly topic. More "how can we compare an athletic black woman to a man?"
... Maybe you would like it better if it was Serena vs. Francis Tiafoe?
Goodness, lots of nonsense here.

But direct me to the threads comparing other women to men, BJK exception.
What does being black have to do with this???? Since we are talking race i do see alot of really talented African American girls doing big things in tennis. I think in the next 10 years we will see a few of these girls doing very well on tour. I know in GA we have a couple 10 year old African American girls that are going to be AMAZING one day if they stick with it..
Ok, take the racial agenda out and flip it to Azarenka or Stosur. Unless its insulting to compare a teenage boy to a Belarusian or Aussie...I think those are safe.
It's not Serena's race that makes the comparison interesting. It's that she is physically gifted and has incredible skill. More so than any other player on tour over the last decade+. The fact that she happens to have dark skin is irrelevant.
...I'm a tennis nut or jerk however you wanna look at it. Nevertheless, I read all our meandering posts from everywhere about our game. No comparisons of ATP or men players to any other women but Venus and Serena. No I can't reach into the collective minds of my tennis brethren or all the no nothing tennis observers, but I have said my peace on what I have observed for over a decade.
