Stepanek O___O

I watched that vid several times already, but I still don't know what exactly Stepanek was trying to do lol. Challenge? To intentionally (but unfairly) get a let?

I agree with the umpire though on awarding Isner the point.

Stepanek is probably the ugliest player next to Hrbaty.

Speaking of Hrbaty, could these be the 2 biggest noses in tennis history? :)

Looks like Stepanek tried to distract Isner. Doubt it was a give up on the point move or else he wouldn't have cared too much losing the point anyways

After all the absolute bollocks that have been written on this site about Nadal's alleged gamesmanship, it's refreshing to see some real downright dirty pool. Talk about bush league. So bad.

I'm not sure if that was a true hindrance though. Really, the ump can tell you how to stand now?

To me a hindrance is a noise or perhaps movement in the face of an opponent when both are at the net or something like that.

Lack of movement is now a hindrance? I don't buy it.

In other news, Steppy did quite well in Shanghai, especially for the age of what... 33 now?

The umpire probably did the right thing but, really, Stepanek was totally within his rights to do what he did, even if it wasn't a very honorable thing to do.

Radick

Total bullshit move by Radek Grouperface. I hold up my racquet, 99% of the time my opponent's going to think I'm looking to halt play (for whatever reason).

Cheap, very cheap.

I don't get it. It was a legit challenge that the umpire failed to pick up on.

That's the point. Radek argued that he wasn't challenging. Isner absentmindedly hit the ball long thinking it was a challenge, and then Radek said he wasn't challenging, and he should get the point cuz the Isner's ball went out.. Such bush league it's almost incomprehensible he's a grown man. So Liyani, said fine, you don't want to challenge, then you lose the point for hindrance. Raising your hand, your racquet, is no doubt, without dispute, the international sign for a challenge and has been for the last five years. He stood their with his racquet above his head. Just despicable.
