Will Nole tank Paris to rest up for the WTF

By tank I mean lose in an early round (before semis). He has a tough draw in Paris and he already has the #1 in the bag. Would make more sense to try to win WTF which is more prestigious than Paris.

For the record, I don't think tanking is an excuse for a loss. Tanking means that you ran out of gas / think you will run out of gas - being fit/ready enough to play at a high level is part of being a great player.

No! Why would he do that?? He should be rested enough. It's not 2011 anymore. He's played some of his best tennis of the last 2 years in Beijing and Shanghai, and showed no real physical problems, plus he's 25.

It looks like he will not be playing Paris at all. no need to tank. this is what I'm getting from other tennis boards. he has a really bad cold .

it's not official but it's coming :)

Djokovic had a two great consecutive weeks in China, looks much fresher than last year, so I don't think he will...

He's complaining about illness, so possibly.

If he meets an inspired opponent, e.g Del Potro in the QF. Then on this occasion I'd heavily favour Del Potro off his Basel win and Djokovic being ill/thinking about WTF more.

No, his father was ill, but it seems that everything is all right...

Nope, I don't think so, if he is healthy at least.
If he's worrying about his father, he won't put his best results into the tournament. If his father (or him) are fine, he should make the finals.
