Apologies if it is already part of the Robbie Koenig Lexicon of Tennis Hyperbole.

At least he didn't say he was 'literally' on fire - as seems to be the wont of many people these days.

Sky TV in the UK are currently running adverts where sports fans recollect their best memories - one of them centres on a couple who support Sunderland, and whose pearl of wisdow is that 'when the goal went in, the noise literally blew the roof off the stadium'.

It literally didn't.

End Rant/

^^ Batz, you know all those reporters who always say so and so was "bundled out" of the tournament? I'd like you to take them to a re-education camp and have your way with them.

Hanging's too good for you :)

I don't know when the world literally changed meaning to its polar opposite (metaphorically), but it literally does my head in ;)

What you mean by Hanging's too good for you? Dont get it...

Hanging by the neck until dead is not enough punishment.

when I read the title I thought for sure you were going to mention his tag from the other day in Basel...while describing the well dressed and apparently wealthy crowd, he referred to the Swiss fans as "suited & looted".

Are you sure he didn't say 'suited and booted'?

no he said "suited and looted" referring to the Basel fans as well dressed and moneyed because right before that remark he was talking about the general wealth of the city from their science and pharmaceutical industries.

"Loot" in the US is a slang term for money. (in case one is unaware).

What else is there? Phenomenadal, magicianal, like a South African diamond cutter...

Somebody call 911... [insert player's name]'s just got out of jail!

Lol yes, I remember him saying that after Federer/Murray had one of the rallies of the year in Shanghai at the start of the second set.

Pressure only comes in pipes? I remember he said this during the Federer Cilic match in Shanghai.

Another one: 'all over that like white on rice'

He said that too I think!

But the one I was referring to was when the player usually hits a passing shot and the ball just clicks the outside of the line. 'just enough room to hit it pass [insert players name] as the size of a drain pipe'

I don't know exactly but it always cracks me up

I wanted to have my picture taken with Falla. I had my significant other hold the camera, and then went up to him and said "let me stand next to ya Falla!"

Ok maybe that didn't happen but it totally should have.

Robbie Koenig is awesome as a commentator. Very catchy phrases and knows not when to over speak.

what about the one today about -- if these two stripped on a beach (Joker and Andy) ... I could not catch the full line. Then Jason asked something, and RK replied "That question I won't answer"

He said something about Andy getting stronger. Working out more. Like "He looks more buff than he used to." Then JG said "Is that what does it for you?" RK responded. "I won't answer that question...laughs."

Have to agree, he can make a dull game intereting. And a good game epic. I don't get to hear him these days and it's a real bummer.
