While I think getting through Scholtz and Singh is no easy feat, I believe that Domijan will have a better chance getting through those guys than they have getting through him. I'll take Alex.

How can Lauren Embree be the #1 seed ? Anderson from UCLA is 5 times better player.

Also good luck to Herring from Georgia. topdawg

I think Jamere Jenkins is due to break out. All-American champions don't often repeat. Domijan didn't do so well after winning the All-American two years ago but maybe this time he'll be ready.

clearly the winner is either going to be barriCunha or @theotherkobe

but in all seriousness, i like Cunha to get to the semis without being too worn out, Giron is the right seed for him to play in the quarters (very steady, but won't potentially blast him off the court like a hot Domi type player could)

after that time to see if he can avenge some previous losses to Domi and Jenkins...certainly UVA has the best chance of bringing home the trophy with those two guys gunning for it

and interesting that some of the top girls like Capra and Gibbs have been taking it easy this fall, at least with regard to college events

I think Sebastian Fanselow will win. Lumping him in with the rest of the field made it an easy choice.

Neither Sebastian Fanselow or KU Singh have been very active this fall since both have had some nagging injuries. Big surprise here but I'll take the Georgia guy in 2.

Really interested to see if Ray can be USC's true #1 this year. Guy has got some game!

who eles is there? this year ? USC has a solid team but they are all middle lineup guys ... no real powerhouse ... like Stevie J.

really strange to see this tournament without Stanford guys and only 1 USC in the singles..

Some guys had trouble getting to NY because of weather so they pushed back those matches for the players effected.

I would play Emilio Gomez at #1. He is certainly capable. Quiroz has also upped his level considerably. Those two plus Sarmiento will make a fine top 3

I have a sneaky feeling that coach P.S. will recruit another incoming foreigner in January like he's done last year.. but still who's #1 ? to me I don't see a real dominant player on that team...

I told you Anderson from UCLA is good. This girl could have gone pro. She could win the NCAA singles crown come May.

I never questioned her talent. You questioned the seeding, which was easily justified.

Can't wait to see the result of the Cal Frosh against Anderson. Embree doesn't get rolled 1&1 in 100k's, let alone college tourneys. This Hungarian girl might be really good.

What are they doing? Playing rich kids tennis while the North East suffers.

Don't they care? hehehe

Are they going to hold a candle light vigil. Why couldn't they donated the electricity to those in need.

The USTA could have used the indoor courts to house peope displaced by Sandy!

Whew! now that I've written this, I feel so morally superior. Also, this weekend, I will donate one can of campbell soup and feel so charitable. Lastly, I will say to two strangers, "I feel horrible for those folks, God bless them" and know that I've done my Christian best.

I'm such a nice person!! I love me!

Anderson plays Zsofi Susanyi and she is a sophomore not a freshman. She made the semifinals of NCAA's last year.

My prediction of Jenkins is on so far... Felt like he was due for some reason. He's well-rested after Cunha's retiring so can he beat a Battle-tested Fanselow?

That name is so awesome. Sebastian Fanselow. It's like something Danielle Steele would think up.

Great day of watching.

What impressed me the most were the variety of playing styles, and overall excellent sportsmanship.

Hope for the future.

Will post individual impressions later on. Gotta run now.

Wow. I thought Jenkins might do it but I didn't expect him to win that easily. Congratulations to Him and the Cavaliers. Time to win the ncaa title.
