A win? A WIN!!!

Haha! Congratz JBF - you can still make the consolation bracket if you win out from here.

Behind the STILL unbeaten Poisoned Pawns (who autodrafted ), it's very congested, so most teams still have a chance of making the playoffs.

It was a shame that I racked up my high score of the season against the team not fielding a QB, WR, nor TE. Wish I managed that last week against Poisoned Pawns (I'm still smarting about losing with 121 points!).

Next stop, my Battle of the Trade with BHiC. RGIII on a bye, so it's Cam Newton vs Philip Rivers.

Lets do this! After that embarrassing loss to JBF, I am motivated to not lose this week.

I thought I was in good shape two weeks ago. Looks like i'll be back to the mediocre team I was..

I am open to trading any of my RB's (Gore, Forte, Leshoure, R. Jennings, and McGahee) if someone wants to get a deal done. I know you mentioned before that you needed another one, so if you (or anyone else) still wants to trade, I will be happy to.

I was just reading the Recap from last week, and noticed this little fact -

Four of the seven losses for theTREE this season have come when their opponent had their highest-scoring week of the season.

Talk about bad luck!

True!

By the same token, after 9 weeks I have scored the second highest number of points in the league and had the third fewest scored against me (surely a recipe for a good record), but I am still in 9th place of 12 teams, with a losing record.

It's all about timing!

Both the QBs I drafted got concussions yesterday, and my genius move to pick up Tannehill didn't work out too well...yet I'm still up heading into MNF game. Win streak?

Way to embarrass my team, BHiC! Got beaten by the widest margin for the first time this season.

A couple of aggressive roster moves from you, JBF. Playing the matchups at QB each week is often better than being stuck with a big name bust. A shame Carson Palmer is not on the wire!

I was a little surprised too, I wish I could set my lineup that good every week.

The 23.98 points scored by Philip Rivers led the matchup and set the mark for his highest output of the season.

It looks like the trade didn't turn out too bad after all!

Don't call it a comeback! 3 in a row playing spoiler for the big boys! ;)

The streak ends here, my friend. My waiver wire fueled combined 40 points from the Pats D and garbage time Dustin Keller TD have me ahead at this point. What could possibly go wrong? Oh, yeah - my RB situation! Rolling deep with Michael Turner, Bryce Brown, James Starks and Daryl Richardson!

Can I get in this league next year?

JBF runs the league. I'm sure there will be a free spot next year - watch for a thread before the season!

ughhhhhh , i was being cautious and didn't start Beanie Wells- he ends up get 16 points. I could have been closer to beating PP :(

So - last week of our regular season.

My only way to make the play-offs is if I beat Kaneohe 3-Putters, and two out of the following three happen: Just Punt Baby beats DC Djokovices; theTREE beats Huynhers; Passion of the Slice beat Axis of Ignorance (not going to happen as they haven't been playing several players all season).

So, in short, I need both JBF and BHiC to win, as well as myself.

I refuse to be knocked out as the highest scoring team in the league!

Do we have a consolation bracket this year?

Um. Seattle D scoring 40!!!!! POINTS thinks you jinxed me. ;)

Yeah - I wasn't expecting that! Somehow the 1-12 team fielding only half their players have knocked you out, seeing as you have the weakest tie breaker. Crazy scoring from Seattle. I'm pleased my tributes paid to a local witch doctor have borne fruit.

Poisoned Pawns (already qualified), Kaneohe 3-Putters (even if loses this week, is a game clear with now only two teams who can match him) and DC's Djokovices (insurmountable position in this week's matchup) now take three of the places in the play-offs.

The final spot is now between Huynhers and myself, and it could go either way.

If I lose to Kaneohe, Huynhers will qualify. I'm ahead by 85, but he has Schaub, Welker, Arian Foster and Hernandez to play on MNF - it's not unthinkable that those four make up that number. I had hoped to be 80 points clear before MNF to put me in a good position, so I'm satisfied atm.

If I beat Kaneohe, then the last play-off spot is basically a straight shoot out between the Houston D (Huynhers) and Gostkowski +4.5 points (theTREE, whom I need to beat Huynhers). It will be VERY tight; I'm hoping Brady has a nice, error-free game.

Right - I better get back to sticking pins in dolls!

heh though I am assured to be in the playoffs I am worried about anyone with Cam. He's been on fire and could be dangerous in the playoffs. I am hoping I can come back but it's not looking super great, unless foster/schaub pick it up

At this point, I believe that PureAlph should be thanking me profusely. Who gave him Cam Newton that just put up 37 points? Who knocked out Huynhers to give him a spot in the playoffs? If you win, I think that I deserve 25% of the earnings!

I am out of it, so I really want to just put my whole team on waivers! See who can pick up Reggie Wayne, Frank Gore, Forte, and Gostkowski. It will make the playoffs a little more interesting! Should I?

I locked the rosters for all non-playoff/consolation teams (including myself), so unfortunately that can't happen.

This is the worst season I've ever had in any league. Horrible drafting by myself w/ Vick, McFadden, Cutler, Jackson (for the 1st half of the season) all being major busts. Cobb was my one shining draft pick, but too little too late.

Haha! Yeah - definitely owe a few of you. When I saw JBF was losing I assumed it was over, but then was shocked to see that the 1-12 Passion of the Slice had gone from zero points to a big lead!

What I need now if I'm to beat Poisoned Pawns (yes, Mr. 2 game losing streak ) is some production from my RBs. Step up Bryce Brown and Michael Turner.

It has been a fun season! Hopefully everyone signs up again next year.

Oh, and here are the 'draft day projections' vs the actual final standings.

DRAFT DAY PROJECTIONS /// (ACTUAL FINAL STANDINGS)
1. Poisoned Pawns 13-1 /// (1st, 12-2)
2. Kaneohe 3-Putters 11-3 /// (3rd, 9-5)
3. DC's Djokovices 9-5 /// (2nd, 9-5)
4. theTREE 7-7 /// (10th, 5-9)
5. Over Dwayne Bowe 7-7 /// (8th, 6-8)
6. LanEvo 7-7 /// (9th, 6-8)
7. Huynhers 7-7 /// (5th, 8-6)
8. Just Punt Baby 7-7 /// (11th, 3-11)
9. Nutcrushing *******s 6-8 /// (4th, 8-6)
10. Carpet Pissers 6-8 /// (6th, 8-6)
11. Axis of Ignorance 3-11 /// (7th, 8-6)
12. Passion of the Slice 1-13 /// (12th, 2-12)

Clearly Kaneohe and DC's Djokovices are good players, seeing as they finished 2nd and 3rd in this year's regular season, and were 2nd and 3rd after last year's play-offs.

why oh why didn't I start Roddy White. I kept going back and forth with his injury. Plugging him in taking him out. At the last second I took him out!

Big mistake

I was so pleased when I saw he was on your bench.

Watching the game and kept thinking, "throw it to Julio, throw it to Julio," but then thought, "wait a second, doesn't the guy I'm playing have Roddy White?" Checked the match-up and saw you had Roddy and his 24.6 early points sitting comfortably on the bench. Phew!

Either way, I need some production from Jones (and hopefully from Turner too) in the rest of this game because overall you are going to murder me at RB.

Bridesmaid second year in a row. Good season!

Thanks. You definitely caught a down week for the title matchup. Wallace can be boom or bust, but I would have expected Foster and Hernandez to put up 30+ points instead of 3.7, and I certainly wasn't expecting Shady McCoy to go into double figures for me.

First time I have won a championship being completely dependent on 3 receivers, rather than RBs, or a mix - Brandon Marshall, Julio Jones and Demaryius Thomas played lights out all season.

Has been a fun league this year, with 11 of 12 teams participating fully. Thanks for running it again, JBF.
