JRK - i like the idea of an annual tradition of playing tennis on thanksgiving morning.
i will have to pass because my family is crazy and we are going to the beach and renting a house for thanksgiving. we were supposed to rent a mountain house in the woods but no - that would make too much sense. we are going to the beach in november. nothing says thanksgiving like the ocean, the sand and 40 degrees.

If you brine, you really should only brine "natural" turkeys otherwise your risk it being way too salty or processed... Of course, it'll depend on how long you brine it or your brine mix concentration.
Are you going to play volleyball like in Top Gun? Who's going to wear the blue jeans with no shirt?

Jwowws family cant cook for sheet, although they did introduce me to sauerkraut with turkeyday dinner. i was scared at first but its really good with mashed potatoes and turkey etc.
but guess wut they make for xmas dinner.... thanksgiving part deux! im already dreading a repeat. of the exact meal. i going to have to make up a "tradition" that my family always eats honey baked ham or bbq brisket on xmas. hrmmmm. too bad i am a terrible liar. her family can literally only make turkey di.ner and spaghetti and a turkey soup based on leftovers from previous turkey dinner. fark.
As u can see im really getting in the spirit for the holidays!
yeah, added a little lead to 3 and 9, and it livened up the string bed. more power and spin. does it pass the Pman test???Hey I've been thinking about those Prince pro stocks too! Liked how they responded and played. 58 on Sensor was a bit too tight tension for me though...haha
you were keeping up in the backhand rallies. check the footage!! there's evidence!was auzzie still ripping backhand angle winners with that darn prince pro stock???
my neck still has whiplash from watching him blast those by me about 20 times. SNIFF!
Dats, luckily for me - no. When I arrived I had maybe 30 mins to burn. So he let me try his BBO pro stock one and he grabbed my Radical Tour to try. Then a lil later he tried out my original Toms Machine. Plus, Downs and I were on one side so he had less angles to play with. We were pretty much just hitting good 20 shot rally type shots, not trying for winners.
I know if I run shots down, it's a guarantee that I'll win the point. You're shocked to see me go!Auzzie was running down everything as usual too.
yes! it was totally the wind. i remember it too. thats why i lost. stupid wind. if it wasnt windy i'd have bageled you easy.
I'm playing indoors today with a neighbor's...mother. Ha! She's also a 3.5 but on the way down, mostly due to her age. Still, she plays well and is a fun person. We both swing nCode sticks and have the exact same New Balance shoes. It 'twas karma.Temps in the 70s here tomorrow, so will at least practice serves in the a.m. before mid-afternoon chow down. Can't get the kick or power ramped up, but at least I can hit the corners most times I try, a fault that the late, great departed TFM pointed out frequently. Gads, I miss that guy.
I'm not a Ram Fan (we are a UR household, pissed atm that they didn't get a post-season bit despite an 8-3 record). So I really don't know what VCU's got. But never underestimate Shaka. He always seems to find a way to motivate his players. He won't be in Richmond long.Angle Queen, my Memphis Tigers are hooping against Shaka Smart's VCUers tomorrow. Should I be worried? We have one kid named Shaq and another named Adonis, so I don't have to pray to the basketball gods, do I?
I will gorge myself silly...then go out and play outside on Friday (predicted temps in the mid-60s)...with same said neighbor's mom.Everyone have a safe, happy, and calorie-laden Thanksgiving. I'm thankful for y'all's friendship during my brief stay in your country.
Best of Broderlands 2. Theres this guy named Loggins that is mad the pilots wont let him play volleyball. You have to go steal the volleyballs and burn the net down. These dudes come out with no shirts on, just jeans and aviators you kill them and Loggins is happy.
That was a funny mission... lot's of Top Gun quotes thrown in too. The mission where you have to get the dude for the tea party is funny as well.
This. I'm quitting USTA if your sandbaggin' *** is still at 4.0 next year.if i'm not bumped, then there's something wrong with the system...haha
I know it's bad form to quote/reply from a different thread, but I thought trash talk might translate better in here.
This. I'm quitting USTA if your sandbaggin' *** is still at 4.0 next year.
Topaz, you too.
But it'd be in USTA's best interest to not bump ya'll. That way they'll get your money for teams at both levels. Hahahaha......
On a completely different subject. Oh wait. Food.
We're invited over to neighbors tomorrow for a fairly traditional turkey day. Wonder what they'd think at me bring my best version of Pad Thai...or Lo Mein (from another neighbor's 1st Gen Vietnamese mom).
I want somethin' Spi-say!
Touche. And you know what I meant. What? You're quitting if I'm still at 4.0 next year?
I think your chances are better than that. I put 'em at 70/30. Mine are very hit-or-miss. I lost a (doubles) match at 3.5 (at the very end of the rating period) that we probably should have won...and big. But, eh, it is what it is. I've actually told both my captains (weekday and weekend...which happen to be 4.0 teams so it doesn't matter what my YE NTRP is) that I'm "iffy" at best, in terms of commitment for USTA next year.Unfortunately, I overplay, and that leaves me tired, and when I'm tired, I lose matches I shouldn't. I think I'm 50/50.
Oh....that sounds lovely. I love "chai" just about anything. And I luv cheesecake (even though my #1 kiddo can't indulge). Where's the recipe?I'm attempting a pumpkin chai cheesecake!
Oh! And it is 'paleo' cheesecake!
So a bit of an experiment. Backup desserts have already been procured in case it is a bust.
Recipe is here (but I'm subbing prunes for the dates):

It most definitely passed! Really nice frames - send 'em my way when you're finished with them...
I had to google & wiki "paleo." Never heard of it. I so out of touch. Really, I mean it. I've got a flip phone w/no txt. :???:AQ, the 'cheesecake' came out great!!! Why can't your little one indulge? This recipe may work then...as long as she can do nuts and coconut.
Busted.
Me. Downs. Topaz.
All got the heave ho. No more sandbaggin' for us.
grats to all the bumpees. i am awaiting my appeal to be bumped down to 3.5 -- because nobody wants to play with an overweight 4.01 at the 4.5 level.
AQ, you too? I'm so glad you don't have to quit USTA now!

You could always have two more kids, sit out a year or two and appeal down
4.5! Congrats TM and all the USTA bumpees
Also thanks for getting me into the dubs club yesterday. Some really good players in that group. I need to up my game. The same old wookie frying pan hands are back at net, Ugh! Seriously, I missed about 10 poach volleys in a row, but recoved with a back-hand volley cross court winner to close out the game.
Guess I did okay as CM said he would put me on the list for future hits.
BTW- Did downs get the double bump yet?
