It shows how incredible Murray is, and that he had the bad luck to be playing behind two of the greatest players of all time.

Murray would have been a dominating force in another era, that's for sure.

No chit.

Because Courier was a "dominating force"? Ok whatever you say, boss.

Courier is one the most underrated American player ever. 1992,93 AO Champ, 1991,92 FO Champ. 93 FO RUP. 93 Wimbledon RUP. 91 US RUP.

Played a few Major QF after his downfall. He could have dominated a bit more if he believed in himself. Had the game to still win.

Murray would kill himself to have a career like Courier did. 4 Slams in a quality field speaks for itself.

This ^.

I agree. For a two year stretch Courier was basically the man. He didn't lose to Agassi for a five year stretch at one point either.

No, it merely shows that he unequivocally doesn't belong with the likes of Nadal, Roger and Novak.

c'mon dude, it's one thing to hate but you gotta admit, Murray is great player. He's beaten them all.

I don't like Djokovic but he is definitely an all-time great.

Murray also would have totally dominated the early 2000s circuit, posting year end #1 rankings for 2000, 2001, 2002 and maybe 2003.

Sampras/Agassi would have mirked him. He's a modern day Courier at best.

You just have to ruin it for the Murray fans, haven't you ?
However you flip Murray's status, he's been a great player in this era, and will definitely assume greater stature in the coming years. He has beaten the Big 3 in a more or less consistent basis compared to the rest of the field, and in the BIG stages as well. Windy or not, he's a Slam winner and will probably win a few more, and probably assume the #1 rank at some point.

He isn't ruining anything. His desperate attempts are laughable at best. :)
