Since Murray hooked up with Lendl, he's become a headhunter. Lendl was notorious for this behavior when he was on the tour. Did you see that way he took a short shot when Roger was at the net and tried to blast him with it some time after the heated exchange? Murray has done this quite a few times in the past year or 2. Murray, himself, was very critical of this type of action before Lendl changed his thinking on it. Class act?
OMG who cares?!?! It's a tennis ball, not a bowling ball. When you don't have angles at the net and you think you can beat your opponent with pace by making him flinch, it's fair game. you sound like Berdych.
This is professional sport, with millions of $$$ on the line. If you can't take a tennis ball being hit at you, time to retire.
Fed a whining baby when hes losing.. What else is new..
Unreal this primadonna has so many fans.. Hes like a little girl who's boyfriend left her when things dont go his way. Crying, yelling at Fans and the players.
.. and people call Murray a pouter
Yes because a tennis ball coming at a good 70-80 mph's at your head wouldn't hurt at all
LOL hater, Feds won the popular player award for 11 year running and won the stefan edberg sportsmanship award numerous times. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bHn41E9qcY
If you have another play you should take that one first. If someone is trying to hit you all day, you're not going to react well. Eventually you will get angry if the person constantly has another play.
You mean he's not from Bangladesh?
Right Murray was known to actually berate his coaches.
Hiring them, firing them when he did not like what they had to say. The only reason he cant do that with Lendl is because he knows physically if Murray cusses him out during the match or after Lendl will rip his head off and use it as a football.
Lets not bring class into this. Too big a word for such a trivial incident.
Someone said that fed never gives credit to his opponent.
Really? Like Nadal stating I was injured whenever he lost.
Murray after every beating administered by Roger giving pressers that fed is not the best but Nadal is.
When asked about the legacy of Roger?
Fed is a gentleman. Lets see what the other three so called top four are.
1. Djocko (Lance, George of the Jungle)
2. Nadal (Butt picker, Sour loser, and maybe juicer)
3. Murray (petulant drama queen)
In fact I wish Fed lost it more often. Cracking some skulls together sometimes gives great results. Just ask Jmac

Fed also RARELY gives the opponent the credit and respect for beating him
Murray and class can not be used in the same sentence. Murray is the most notorious foulmouth on tour. So Fed loses it once. Can't compare.
fed was sing "every breath you take" to himself and he just got carried away and pointed to his left eye.
This is what Federer said

Federer is less gentlemantly in defeat. What else is new?

It wasn't particularily classy but tell me the last time Fed did something like this.
It was gamesmenship by Federer and it's not the first time. He was pretty much down and out against Djokovic in the 2011 AO semifinals when he yelled something to Djokovic during his service ball bouncing.
Look, all of the big four have used gamesmenship when they're losing and are desperately looking for a way back into the match. Nadal with his medical timeouts and bodychecking of Rosol, Djokovic with medical timeouts, Murray with his "fake injuries".
People that act like their favourite player is holier than thou need a reality check.
Gamesmanship is used to help you win, within the rules but by a small margin. How is yelling at Murray gamesmanship? Time wasting, unnecessary MTOs, excessive ball bouncing, pretending you're injured when you're not; These things are gamesmanship. Losing your temper is losing your temper. I've never heard someone say that smashing a racquet is gamesmanship. How is this different? It's a spontaneous outburst. Getting angry can just as easily have a negative effect on the person getting angry.

The whole elegance facade is mostly a commercial origination. Federer, generally, is up to the part, but it's inevitable that one is going to slip up when under stress.
I'm not a Federer fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I've never understood the microscope focusing on his every act. Why do fans feel he needs to maintain that 'pure class' image all the time? Pretty much every incident (eg. this one, the 'lucky shot' remarks USO 2011, the backtalk to Djokovic's camp [well-justified at the time]) has been blown out of proportion. He's not a saint, but hardly a jerk either.
That being said, if Nadal had done anything resembling this, you can guarantee the TW pitchforks would be out in full force.
I have NEVER seen a MALE player who never loses a class in the heat of the moment, at least a bit,
......well, except,
........., Stephan Edberg of the Stephan Edberg Sportmanship Award.
Wait, add Bjorn Borg to that, probably.
LOL. Seriously made me LOL.
I think maybe Rafter as well ?
Ha ha ha ha ha ha........LOLRoger: Give me some of your PEDs!!! This isn't fair.
Andy: Sorry, mate. That's me private stash.
real reason why Roger was upset
Wow. No wonder Federer was distracted!
Haha, and if Murray did something similar to Federer, we'd never hear the end of it from you.
Your hero is a mug and a sore loser.
Yeah, and Roger was totally right in each and every case. This ain't the first time. Fed full of class??
Against Djokovic's box in Monte Carlo: Roger: "Be quiet"
Against Del Potro at USO '09 final: to the umpire: "...I don't give a 5h1t what he said"
Against Roddick at Wimbledon '09 final: Wearing that 15 jacket
After winning the Australian Open 2010 SF, interviewed by Jim Courier: "Yeah no brit has won a slam in 10,000 years..."
Against Delpo at Roland Garros 2012: Telling the crowd to shut up.
Yeah class in a glass our Roger is
Wouldn't it be interesting if Federer hired McEnroe to be his coach? :shock:I'd love to see it turn into a Lendl/McEnroe-like rivalry.
