Uniqlo apparel in US?

Any idea where I can find Djokovic's or Niskori's tennis apparel? It doesn't have to be their model, but generic Uniqlo tennis shirts will do.. For some reason I'm having trouble finding them...

I live in SF btw.. and it doesn't look the newly opened store carry it yet..

really? what I've heard is that they were actually pretty good..

I was actually in Japan 2 weeks ago and none of the stores carried them... I just showed the photos from my phone, and the cust rep told me that they're 'sold out' (they don't speak english.. but I thought that's what they were saying)

where did you get yours if I may ask?

FWIW I lived in Japan and the clothes are junk, not worth the trouble

I lived there 09-10 and they had a store in my town outside Tokyo, I got a couple of their "active" shirts and found them to be junk. Just my opinion though. I found their clothes in general to be very cheaply made, similar to an old navy.

Search the threads, it's been discussed, they aren't selling their clothes, and they weren't shipping them when they sold some of their clothes at the NYC store during the US Open.

finally checked them out at the flagship store in NYC.

they only had XLs and up left of the range, but I wasn't impressed at all by the quality. looked and felt comparable to Target/Walmart house brand quality.

not that adidas and Nike are much better in the quality department these days, but at least they feel a bit nicer.

any chance you can help me pick 1 up? I'm very curious... XL is my size... would appreciate it if you can do it :)

Why the hell does a company spend the kind of money it takes to sponsor the world #1 tennis player then not even have a reasonable way for people to buy their products ?!?!?!

Perhaps they are just laundering heroin money :)

Dude, that was a while ago - like november.

I'll pop into a uniqlo tomorrow and see what's up.

Their goal is to sell as many clothes as possible - not just tennis.

I bet everyone who goes into the store looking for tennis stuff walks out with $100 worth of other stuff.

getting excited over Uniqlo is like someone in Japan getting excited over Old Navy. Looks like their marketing propaganda worked on you

I can understand that some of you don't like Uniqlo.. but what's up with the demeaning comments?

Look, I don't like Old Navy as much as the next guy.. But I happen to like Uniqlo.. Their ultra light down jacket has helped me surviving winter without the weight.. and as an avid traveller, I also appreciate that it doesn't take too much space..

Also, I like Nike tennis shirts, but can't stand Adidas.. does that make me a bad guy?

I'm not asking for opinions on the quality of the shirts.. I just want to know where to get them in US (which some people have responded, and very much appreciated). That's it..

A perfect example of why Nike and probably most companies could care less if they make good quality stuff or not, people will buy it either way, so they will continue to raise the price.

Works the same way with everything (most of the things) in life. The new 3-series BMW is the step down from the previous generation, enthusiasts hate them, ordinary people think it looks prettier. Accord handles on par with it now. They jacked up the prices and will set a new sales record...

I'd suggest that you need more experience with motor vehicles before offering such blanket statements.

Aside from the Accord comment he's pretty much on the button.

Not sure about that, but regardless that's a pretty tough statement to ignore. I think the increased safety and space allied to lower weight is a good thing as do many others, but my experience with the regular-series cars is limited to occasional loaners so I'll let this thread get back to topic.

I have a Uniqlo tracksuit top ("dry" or something like that) and sweater which are great quality for the money. Hopefully the tennis gear is the same.

Yep, 25 years of experience is not enough (last 10 with BMW)...
I'd suggest you understand the BMW a little bit better

Please join us at the e90post.com, you may learn some.
Plus, my 335is (beside the looks) feels like the step up from the F30. I am hoping they improved some of it (steering/handling) on the F32

Actually, I believe Accord handles better than the NON-SPORT package F30. Nowdays, you have to get all sorts of packages and adaptive/dynamic steering to bring it closer to the BMW signature characteristic -- steering feel and handling. Unfortunate thing.

Not much I need to learn my friend. Already a member on M3post.com, one of the few track guys. But it will be interesting to hear if the coupe is more to your liking.

Boys and their toys! Compensating for what, fellas? Truth be told, technology is very democratic, most cars handle pretty well now, and American roads don't present a need for exceptional handling. Drive the autostradas in Italy and you come to understand why Europeans developed competent cars, but the point is fairly moot on this side of the ocean.

Thank you for your insight.
I totally disagree as I lived (and learned to drive) for 20 years in Europe, then, past 3 years again in Europe...and to answer to your question -- compensating for driving Skoda Octavia and Passat Wagon those 3 years in Europe (minus the weekends in my wife's 120d SE)
You can find as interesting and challenging roads in the US, too. And, daily driving in Dallas is as exciting as daily driving in Munich or Rome...

Good, then you should know that new electronic steering took 3er the wrong direction, and that the size of the 5er is also not helping the handling of once benchmark 3-series...

Of course, but the slightly larger size comes with no weight penalty (in fact, it's lighter) and that is of far more importance. As regards the steering, I'd imagine the F80 will be a total different proposition and that's all I care about. If not then I'll stick with the E92.

Similar to you, I lived in Europe for 23 years.

I've never driven in Dallas, but I'd (perhaps mistakenly) assume it would be similar to the standards of road behaviour in many northern European countries. Rome is quite an eye opening experience in comparison.

I really want to find out how to get this clothing

aparently...you can only get them on E Bay or if someone sells on this board...
I am not sure WHY... I asked UNIQLO some time in August and they told me they plan to sell on line in the Fall 2012 and I should sign up for the updates. I signed up and have been receiving 6 months worth of spam trying to sell me jeans, pants and shirts...
