Ah well you kinda know Benneteau had a chance from the start.
Now please can Berlocq defeat Nadal so that the troll can shut up?
Just looked at the score did Fed want out?
yeah, its starting to look like 2012 was the last hurrah.
ah well, who knows, he may eke out a win here and there but, its gonna be tough rowing.

Is this another situation whereby the top ones just make an appearance and let the other guys get a chance to win some moneY?

federers loss is his 200th defeat in singles matches..
still has 885 wins though
It's also Jules' 200th win. Poetic symmetry.
Seems you can dish it out but can't take it. Remember this next time you decide to troll Nadal match threads.

Oh, come on now. Fed just had an off day and he lost. You've got it a heck of a lot better than long suffering Nadal fans like me. My fav really is done.

No he did not. He should be beating guys like Benneteau even at age 31 no excuses. Benneteau is the same age as Fed is after all. Federer's serve has been awful and players are reading it more easily, it does not have the same bite as it used to, at least not consistently. If he can't serve consistently, he won't win matches against the better players. Simple really.
Nadal is five years younger than Federer is and Nadal will find his game again.
you didnt watch the freaking match, you just came in here to slaag off federer
I did not watch it but you don't have to be a genius to figure out that if Federer does not serve well, it is tough for him to win these days.
Federer would take this loss since Benny gave him the Wimbledon match.

his serve isnt why he lost..not that you would know..having not watched it
it was everything else, his serve was ok-ish..maybe an untimely double fault, but his groundstrokes were wide and long or total shanks..and he let bennys attacking style get to him and fed rushed a few shots which didnt help either..at one stage he actually looked flustered.
Fed is not gonna repeat his unexpectedly glorious 2012, that's for sure. Everybody already knew time is not on his side. But he can still pull the occasional big win probably.
Nah, I think Federer's big win days are over. Will he beat Djokovic or Nadal at a slam again? I don't think so. Murray is such a choker at Wimbledon (ala Tim Henman), so maybe, but it wouldn't be so big as we all expect it.
Last time Federer and Djokovic met in a slam, Federer won 6-3 3-6 6-4 6-3.
And how about the last time Federer met Nadal in a slam? Federer leads Djokovic a measly 6-5 in the slam h2h. Can't see that going in Federer's direction anytime soon...
When I see him serve, it looks like he is wary of his back. I don't think he is done because he took a loss at Rotterdam, however.
I just looked at the match stats, 57% 1st serve percentage is Federer serving well? My point was that if he does not serve very well these days, it is more difficult for him to win a match against the better players because we know he is probably going to have periods of inconsistent groundstrokes and shank balls. He needs the insurance of having a very good and consistent serve. It just seems to me that lately the better players are reading his serve a little better.
i didnt say fed served WELL .obviously his serve wasnt great, theres more to tennis than bloody stats..AND YOU DIDNT WATCH THE MATCH.. you can't comment..:?
get back to your knitting..or trolling, its what you came in here to do in the first place.
No I did not watch the match but looked at the stats and he definitely was not serving well. When he does not serve well usually the rest of his game is not in sync. At least when he serves well it compensates for the shanks and errors he tends to make these days.
I can comment on any match I choose to comment on, if you don't like it, put me on ignore please.
Are you kidding? These guys are champions and never want to lose. I did not see the match but heard Federer could not buy a serve. He can't win matches these days without his serve if he is facing any kind of decent player.
