Tennis Warehouse-Mid Atlantic Chapter

tennisplex is nice. courts are kinda slow though but lots of space between courts. $40 an hour for indoor spot time though. $20 an hour during the day though is a fairly decent bargain.

$40/hr seems about standard for the area. at least there's no membership fee such as at Fairfax.

I'd still kill for a tennis plex out near Nova.

Emotionally. You are, too. Sold the apd's to my mixed partner who is going to tri-level nationals...AKA downs' captain.

Got through my first hit with rdis100 cuz pro tours wont arrive until tomorrow night. I feel like a cat on ice on hartru, but instructor said hed seen worse.(thanks?). Fi tried to string.rdis low buton this clay against q breeze i could have.strung 10lbs less. I hit some good shots but i will be curious to think what coach says about my pro tohrs. I have a feeling he will tell me to never tohch a yonex mid again but we shall see.

Enjoy the snow beetchez! Im playing some 4.5 from colorado tomorrow that played tennis at some small md college. I saw him working on his serve which looked 3.0 so i think the instructors took bets on the match. Vamos!

We've had several hours, now, of huge flakes.

This is from earlier this morning:

Probably have ~3" out there now. And sometimes, it came down fast and furious:

When we woke up this morning at 0530, our system's schools hadn't made the call yet...as it was still just raining and 40F at the airport. An hour later, they cancelled...but still nothing. Within minutes though, the temps dropped 5F or more and it had started to come down. So at 0530 they looked smart, at 0630 dumb, and by 0730...they'd done everything...well, shhhh, right. LOL

It is a nice shed, isn't it? We've got a HOA that, at first, was filled with a bunch of nosey-nellies, intent on keeping up with the Joneses, Jacks and Jills. The shed was built during that period and the neighbors were ultra-concerned with not rocking the boat, so to speak, of the language that said something like the shed had to be of the same "character" as the home (siding, color, roof pitch, blahblahblah). And truthfully, it didn't cost them much more to get the vinyl siding & shutters that turned it into a virtually maintenance-free building. A subsequent owner, with a register electrician father ran service out to it. Sweet!

They were a super-nice family and when we got the devastating news that they were moving, we were glad they got top-dollar for their home, right before the RE crash. They deserved it as the rest of their property was equally as well designed and maintained.

Luckily, the HOA was forced to back off on many of their wacked-out, super "strict" interpretations...and so many of the subsequent "sheds" are nowhere near that nice. Hubs wants one "like that" but "bigger" (of course)...so we're having to build up the $$ reserves to make it happen. Where are the Man-Cave Crashers when you need 'em?

Strange snow yesterday. It literally snowed from ~8am to 4pm...and we had less accumulated snow at nightfall than we did at lunchtime. Jeez.

Streets are clear and dry this morning.

^^

LOL Do you know what they call "Traveling Nachos" in LilQ's school cafeteria?

A single-serve bag of doritos that they mash slightly, open up, dump a disgusting spoonful of ground mystery meat in and hand it over. The boys love it. I've never seen a girl with one on her tray.

Good ole HOA's. Idont have one at my home. Its like an optional 50 bucks a year. There is a pavilion and a small filed some guy maintains. Pretty much all the cash for the year goes to him.

I have to build a shed at some poitn also. Gets old pulling out Lawnmower, snowblower and wheelbarrow to pull my truck out of the garage. My yard is sloped though so It wouldnt be an easy task to put one thier. Probably just build extension onto the back of the garage, but dont want it looking funny because theres no way to match the color of 55 year odl brick. But white siding should suffice because it is in the back of the house.

swung with the Wilson 99s yesterday at a local shop at Rockville. No, zap, it's not that one that we both dont like. I went to the one next off of Parklawn. Swings really nice. About to demo it this sunday.
Anyone played with the following before? Dunlop Bio 200, 400 & 500, Head YT Extreme, Prince Graphite EXO3? Wilson Blade 98 (Black and Gold version) Found those there lying in the corner.

Sap: they had $25 Five Toe shoes there. Don't know what model it is, but there were two shelves full in the half rack in the back.
