I only tend to be nasty as an anwer to nasty posts. There was one exception: when I called Dan Lobb an idiot (for his sometimes wrong arguments). But I have apologized very soon for that insult.
The Federer armada has attacked me at every word I have written about Roger and about Rosewall. This culminated in heavy insults by Limpinhitter ("Günter Parche") and ARFED (thread). You are intelligent enough to not going so far but I feel your hostile mood almost in every of your posts. Instead of insulting me, you and others should rather blame ARFED for his unbelievable threat. I never read such a critic to him!
You (and others) should stop and come back to serious conversation!!!

yes, ignoring logical arguments is bad because it shows you just want to put your side of the argument, but not listen/acknowledge what the others say ....
I can be rude at times, but that's only when I encounter very silly/wrong statements , not in cases where it is somewhat close and it comes down to personal opinion..... now for example, I think federer has a slightly better BH than haas, but I am not going to be rude if someone says otherwise ..
but if someone says that roddick has better passing shots than nadal, duh, obviously that's ridiculous .....
ditto when one says hewitt wouldn't be top 10 in other so called stronger eras ....
respect comes when posts are close to reality .....if you are very far off reality , many people will criticize and be rude .....not everyone has the patience to respond correctly/politely to statements like those ....
