I just saw this thread and had to chime in. I was so excited to find a Trysis 260 MP "bumble bee" for cheap on the "bay", having read some great reviews of what a solid good feel it gave. I figured since my beloved Pro Staff 6.1 95's (from Classic to K Factor) were my faves, besides the 16x18 I'd feel right at home.

Sadly I gotta say this thing feels like a board? It swings way heavier than the Wilson's and the sweetspot seems to be about dime size.

Shame, it looks so cool..but sadly I think I gotta flip it...luckily it is a "cult classic" so getting back my money should be easy.

Anyone else had a letdown with these?

Just for clarification I meant I figured the only main difference in feel would be 18X20 compared to the 16X18 I play with...and in retrospect maybe that is it in a nutshell?

I've played a few Radicals and felt the same as you. They just aren't as solid as the 6.1s or POGs. I think tinkerers like them because the can put lead and silicone all over them and get a more solid feel. I'd rather just grab a stock POG and swing away. I felt the Radicals had a hollow feeling compared to the others mentioned.

For clarification, I gave them over a year of play. They were great from the baseline but I never felt comfortable with the serve.

hrb send me an email we can discuss, i've swung the old 6.1's and yes they do feel great and powerful but I like the control I get with these much more compared to the 6.1 with an 18x20 pattern. I don't think its fair to compare a 18x20 racquet with an 16x18 just my 2 cents

but yeah back to the original question anyone got the numbers or can point me in the direction of?

You are correct...I am clearly an 16x18 man (except for an old Graphite Edge that strangely enough is the stick I'm hitting "lights out" with lately...but that's another story).

I just like trying other sticks, but keep coming back to my Pro-Staffs....anyways that stick is back on the big auction site if you are interested...it has about 4 days left for bidding.

thanks for the info! just from looking at this is it not possible to match a zebra to a bumblee?

I suggest you get a scale and weigh the racquets you have. Or go down to the post office and use their scale and weigh your racquets. That is the only way you know what is really going on with what you have.

I'm sure they are close enough to match mass, balance, and swing weight, as long as you can handle the wt and SW. I'm pretty sure the heavy Zebra that Mr. Lagaffe posted specs on was not stock.

Even then, though, they'll feel a little different. The Zebra is a carbon composite (i.e., 100% graphite) with Twin Tube construction, and the (original) Bee is a carbon/Twaron (basically Kevlar) composite. Both great rackets, though.
