I know that some Nike rep told someone that the "tour" fit is the same as the vapor 9 that you can buy at your local tennis shop, but are all you cats that have received your id shoes of the same opinion?
No, Tour Fit is slightly narrower than retail version on the V9 iD shoes. It is supposed to be the same according to my dealings with NikeiD but has come out marginally narrower. It's like 0.5cm so the difference wont be an issue for most people. They're close but I think they may run just a bit big compared to the retail version. I don't think the difference is as much as a half size...

The explanation between width sizes they give on the website is terribly misleading. They refer to the True Fit as being a wider, "standard" fit which implies it would be the equivalent of the standard retail fit. However this is not the case. The Tour Fit is still the closest to the retail version - albeit slightly narrower as I mentioned above.
Their width explanation fyi:
"This tennis shoe is available in a Tour Fit for a secure, locked-down feel on the court, and in a standard True Fit that's slightly wider for extra room."
These are mine, I got them last wednesday.
They do look nice. I am mindful now having had my own and seeing others than the fitframe is slightly translucent. I wonder how that shoe would look if everything was the same but the upper was grey. Thanks for the compliments
Be careful ordering red vent and fit frame on the V9 iD. I ordered a black upper with red vent and red fit frame and red laces...all 3 of the reds are very different. The vent is maroon-ish, the fit frame is raspberry-ish, and the laces are bright red. They look awful...I'll be returning them.
I'll try to post a pic before I ship them back.
By your description your shoe looks like you've stepped into a dog's crap, hahahaha.
^
Interesting.
Waiting for the pics

Sorry, I forgot to take a pic before I shipped them back to Nike today. Take my word for it...they looked awful. I wanted to like them since I waited 6 weeks for delivery. But, they were just hideous.
Some sweet colors I'd like to get
(the middle one is a nice alternative to the RF blue/green French Open V9)

Seems the "Dummy David White" boxes have been removed...THEY ADDED MORE COLORS?! Well it's about time, maybe I'll revisit this...
Also, if you go to the foot frame, there's a bunch of "Dummy David White" color boxes. I can only assume the foot frame is getting a color expansion too.
Seeing the pics of these that have actually gotten theirs, when they get numbers or letters put on the side, it's a lot bigger or stretched than it is on the site...
Did you guys that got yours already know that, and was did it still look good to you when you got them and saw that?
Yep, the real ones look nothing like this on the website. It's a bit disappointing I agree but better than nothing.Seeing the pics of these that have actually gotten theirs, when they get numbers or letters put on the side, it's a lot bigger or stretched than it is on the site...
Black laces add a little contrast to the shoes : red swoosh framed by 2 black element (foot frame and laces). It works well with a black short, for instance.I can't see that the black laces work in such a simple design. White is what you need.
Great job. Clean design.Finaly received my first Vapor9 iD !!!

I wanted a clean and simple look, that reminds of the classic white/red/black Federer shoes (USO09' Vapor 6, London10' Vapor 7, etc)
After I hesitated a lot, and asked you here about several designs months ago, I finaly chose this one. And I'm just really happy/excited with it !!!!!!!

I ordered black laces but I have to find red and white laces so I can switch from times to times

In very clean designs I think the rule should be that the lace matches the tongue, but if you have a colourful design then anything goes.
This is an almost white shoe that already has adequate contrast with the black and red, so anymore just doesn't work.

Those look fantastic. Personally think black laces are probably better in that shoe for the contrast.
Now the challenge will be keeping them clean.
–^^^Very nice color, but gonna get dirty quick.
Nice to see you finally made your mind up! Looking good though, simple yet effective. Getting the fed vapor iv vibe from them
–2nd that. I'm glad you were able to get the Nike ID selection to work for you. But with such a limited selection on customizable parts and colors available, I just can't see myself forfeiting $170 for a pair.
But your design is very clean indeed.
–Looks nice - - these are regular width right?
I also think they'll look good with black or white socks. But anyway I will rotate black/white/red laces, depending of what outfit I'll wear (black laces with black short, white with white short, and maybe red sometimes)
