Day 5 tipsavervic

This is invalid. For Day 5, you can only pick from one of the 8 R32 matches originally scheduled for Friday, not one of the postponed matches that was originally scheduled for Thursday. See post #280 for the available matches and pick again.

DOH! Just noticed that Monfils is on that "Pick Him at Your Own Risk" list. (I've been away from SDL for a while, and we didnt have that list back then. so, What's the criteria for a guy to get on that list? ... It's obviously something additional to the usual risk, right? ..... I think I understand the compulsion. even tho robredo is the 32nd seed, and Monfils is just a wild card, still there's something magical in the concept that Monfils can win!

DAY 5:
G. Monfils

I've only been playing SDL for a couple of months, and I'm curious about the PAYOR list. What is the virtue of it? Is it just a friendly warning, or are there benefits to picking players on there?

Joined the same time as you did, but I have not seen that Payor List. mAYbe, I'm just not paying attention.

I think it's just a "you've been warned" list and a way for people who have been burned to feel like they've punished a player by having him added to the list.

Cilic being a prime example though most of us thought there was no way he could lose to Troicki who is also on the list. Thought I was picking the lesser of two evils.

If Almagro goes out today (and it's looking like Raonic and Simon could be heading out as well) we'll be down to a tiny handful. Is there one particular day of mass exodus in a Slam that lives in infamy in SDL?

Note the Top 5 in the Race have all been knocked out, so there's lots of opportunity for people further back to shoot up the Race here. Of course, if Almugro gets knocked out there will be barely anyone left to take advantage.

Thankfully Almugro is cruising right now, looks like Simon will not outgag Querrey
