Tommy Haas and the fountain of youth

I find it amazing as Tommy is playing what I would say is his best tennis at 34. I remember in 1998 and playing a tennis video game he was in. He keeps man-handling on dudes 10 years his junior ie. Gulbis. What is his secret?

Ultimate fitness from the 34 year old German. :)

He isn't in his prime, look back to his days as #2 and his debut tournaments. He was a beast on court, it's a shame that he had so many injuries.

Well looking at his injuries he's probably 5 years younger tennis-wise, hes played app. 80 matches more than Nadal in his career.

I'd say ultimate dedication, determination, fitness, willingness to max out what he has left in him.

Haas is 35 not 34 and he is certainly not playing his best tennis. Any one who thinks that either cannot remember his level from the late 90's and early 2000's or is just generally insulting the man.

Even considerably past his best, he's still good enough to be top 10 in this era.

Says a lot on both counts.
