If Novak wins Cincy he'll become the only player in history to have won all 9 Masters in his career. However, slams are much more important for legacy and US Open starts just one week later.
who cares about this pointless stats?

He should hope he wouldn't have to play Nadal.

Why?

He should try his very best to win it. Having 6 slams is all very interesting but until he wins The Real Slam TM then he'll always have a gaping hole in his CV.
He needs to join that select group of only 2 current players who can call themselves Real Slam TM Champions.
Is that a FACT or just an opinion?
 He destroys Nadal there. He should hope he wouldn't have to play Nadal.

He'll approach it to win it, of course. He's played the finals there 4 times, it's not much of a stretch for him. It won't be like Monte Carlo where he's up against some titanic obstacle, and you feel he might have a mental block in his path. I know Murray has beaten him twice in Cincy, but I don't think it's that big a deal for him.
I think it's more likely he'll put less into the Rogers Cup if anything. I know he's two time defending champion there, but he is a goal orientated guy, and you have to believe completing the set of titles would mean more than winning the Rogers Cup 3 times in a row.
Because Djoker and Fed are in the race to be the first to lose to Nadal 21 times. It's a myth that Nadal can't play on fast h/c.
Murray certainly seems to have one up on him at this time of year, that's for sure, but I don't think it's that big a gulf that it can't be overcome.Nole is 0-4 in US Open Series events against Murray, maybe it's just coincidence that they all occurred on quick hardcourts.

He should approach down the line

It is possible to like 2 players. Murray and Djokovic are good friends btw. And Murray will probably beat Djokovic. But it will be close. Nadal will get destroyed though. His game just doesn't suit Cincinnati. And as a Murray fan, you do hope Murray destroys Novak..right?

What are you talking about
Every top 10 player plays at Cincy and most likely Roger's Cup. I don't think hes going to be taking that off. Nobody really has besides Nadal last year, but what a weird thing to write to suggest that he should take it off and if he does so, it's somehow some magic ticket to winning the US Open.
This thread is delusional and stupid.
Of course he's going to play cincy. And what do you mean "how should he approach it?" Um he should eat 2 eggs the morning before, finish with a lap around the pool, he should limit himself to 24 g carbs a day... What a dumbass thread.
And his confidence is sky high after taking Wimbledon.
Murray will sweep the american hard season.
That would be impressive. Patrick Rafter and Andy Roddick are the only players in the open era to win Canada, Cincy, and USO in the same year. Agassi came close in 1995 but was stopped by Sampras in the final of the USO.

Your post is delusional and stupid. How you came to conclusion that I've said Djokovic should not play Cincy?
cork_screw, if you do not reply you will lose the argument.

LOL, WTF, what argument?

cork_screw has made the claim that this thread is delusional and stupid because I've said Novak should not play Cincy. I've attacked his proposition and asked him how he came to conclusion that I've said Djokovic should skip Cincinnati.
cork_screw, you lost the argument.
