I just tried out poly main and multi cross (sppp 123/addiction 17) for the first time on my 4D 100 and it just got mush real fast, almost in the same day. Does anyone know if this is normal for the setup or for the strings?

B5E mains and syngut/multi crosses plays fine. multi mains & poly crosses don't work for me tho in the 100 or other sticks.

prefer B5E poly in the mains for control, spin, durability, etc. multis in the main can't compete but maybe the ZX string could be a better multi offering.

Had to put a couple overgrips on (size 2 was all TW had at the time) and added some lead on the hoop at 3, 9, and 12 and the frame was great! Doesn't feel like a mid at all and the spin I was getting from it was unreal for a racquet of its stature, though I was using a new hybrid setup instead of my usual cyclone. Hitting felt a little hollow but that may just be the strings- I'm happy with the results, though my c10 felt a little more consistent on groundies and serve.

I gave them a year. Just never really caught on with them. Sad... I wanted to like them.
i find the AG4D 100 to defintely be more headlight and a quicker swing...i have the BIOME 100 and it does som ething s in some situations better. forehands are more powerful, serve is more powerful though less precise for me. i have dunlops leather grip on my AG4D 100 and that bumps the statice weight to 11.98 ounces , heaver than my BIOME 100 and it still swings faster.
if i had my druthers, though i give the quicker swing the over all edge. darn

And, of course, I pulled them out of the closet today... and played fine. Really, it's a matter of taste, but I find that the 4D100 is rather string sensitive. Dead feeling strings just don't cut it. Hitting the sweetspot isn't really the problem, and the balance, even stock, is fine.
I like poly (spinny - not SPPP) mains and multi (powerful - not Dunlop Hexy) crosses in the mid to upper 50s.

How long does that last you? Won't that give you less power compared to poly main sgut cross?

So I finally got my hands on a Teal Bio 100 and took the swing weight using TW SW calculator. Before with my Green Bio 100 I got a sw of 307 and 308 consistently (strung with leather grip, no lead added). Before testing the Teal's, I tested the sw for the green again and I still get a sw of 307.
Testing for the Teal Bio 100 (strung with bare handle), I got 312 the first try, 311 the second, and 312 the third try. Weight (the leather grip) at the handle doesn't affect the swing weight according to the racket customization from TW (and I concur). I will test again once the leather go on for the Teal.
Here are the static weight and balance, unstrung with manufacture grip removed for both of them.
Green Bio 100:
Weight: 300.7g
Balance: 321.5mm (6.75 HL)
Teal Bio 100:
Weight: 301.7g
Balance: 320.7mm (7.0 HL)
An error I have found is that we think these rackets are 27" but its not. It's actually 26.875' (26 7/8 inches), all of my Dunlop 100's are at least. It doesn't sound a big deal but does affect the sw and balance calculation.

After taking the "NEW" length (shortened to 26+13/16 inches after two hours of stringing = 26.8125") into account with new balance and measuring, after adding leather to the Teal Bio 100, I am now getting the SW of 333, 324, 324, and 324.
I re-did the test for the Green Bio 100 as well with the new length measurement and now getting a SW of 324, 312, 324, 320, and 318; comes to an average of ~320.
So forget the balance of the rackets while unstrung with bare handle I did on my previous post (I call it "naked" weight and balance), because I'm not taking it all apart again. Not in a long time I think.

I just measured the length of two of my strung green Bio 100s and one is 26 7/8" and the other is 26 15/16".
I'm not sure how the TW SW calculator works since I have never used it, but I guess when you plug in a shorter total length with the same balance point (which is measured from the butt cap), you are effectively moving the balance point a bit closer to the top of the hoop? If so, I guess that would make the racquet a bit less headlight and thereby the results of the swingweight calculation would be a bit higher than if you had used 27" as the total length? I assume you don't have access to a RDC machine, right?
BTW, have you played with both the green and the teal versions side-by-side yet? If so, or when you do, please let us know if you feel any differences between the two, especially the swingweight and the flex.

Yes, that's correct except you actually put in the distance from the butt when using the calculator. If you do this then the length shouldn't matter (when using the swing weight calculator and not the manual customization). But in my case it skewed everything because I made my own balance beam and I measure the HL value and not the distance because I have a yard stick and I don't like fractions, so when you calculate the HL/HH value you need the value of the length of the racket to convert it.
If you just stick to "the distance from the butt", you should be okay. No, I don't have any machines, I hand made the balance beam from wood bought at a home improvement store, lol.
I haven't had time to play both of them yet but when I do I will, which won't be for a very long time, I will.
I went out today and have a hit with my Teal Bio 100 and man, I actually feel the better stability of having a higher twist weight of the 4D 100. My flat servers feels a lot more stable and much faster serve speed. Overall much more stability, noticeably. The swing weight is higher though than my 4D 100 (by 10), but I don't think that was the reason for better stability. The 4D 100 does have the LOWEST twist weight of all rackets according to TW. Now I wish I have two more Green Bio 100 (since I have a feeling they both are similiar). I love the new Bio 100's!

Yea. I have about 7.5g at 12, 3g total at 3&9, 1g at 10,2,8, and 4 each, and 3g at the neck, and leather. comes to 369g for me. Feels great!

Prince Mono (stolen or I would have kept playing with it) Graphene Speed (nice for serves and volleys, not much everywhere else) before that a PSC clone, Prestige clone and currently with a Max 200G.
And I should add that I don't like hanging around the baseline too much.

Hi CHOcobo, seems you got quite a few bio 100 sticks. Are you interested in letting go a few frames, or maybe a single one. I'm looking for a 4 3/8 grip, whatever version , EU or US in a fairly good condition 8+ (out of 10).

Well, when I'm playing singles, I do like to hang around the baseline. I have two 4D100's, one gripped with leather and one with synthetic. The leather grip added some stability but doesn't radically change the racquet - I keep them that way because the difference is noticeable.
Solid on serve, but less dwell time than my London Tours so I struggle when my stroke isn't on - that said, I am known as a streaky server, so I can struggle on serve with any stick - I just struggle more with the 4D100.
Groundies are nice with this stick. My backhand is one-handed and pretty flat, so I almost never shank. My forehand is much more topspin oriented, so I really have to focus on timing because the racquet is narrow, and it's easier to have off days.
Volleys are solid if you can hit the strings. I never feel overpowered, but I play at 4.0/4.5 so it's not like anyone is hitting that hard.
The sticks are just nice, have a solid feel, and are fun to play with. There are times when I long for more dwell time, which is when I switch to something more flexible, but I tend to vacillate. If you're used to playing headlight mids, you will like the 4D100. It's just a matter of mood and feel for me. Pretty much all my racquets have similar balance and weight - it just comes down to feel. The 4D100 is crisp compared to my other sticks: M-Fil 200, NXG Mid, London Tour. Sometimes I really like that feel.

How do you compare London Tour to Bio 100? Which one do you use more you think? I am in similar situation. Love the flexible feel of the London Tour but feel like Bio 100 moves faster through the air (Bio 100 feels narrower even though it's just 19mm and 90in2 vs. 19.5mm and 93in2 for London Tour).
IMP London Tour is more arm friendly by a large margin. But Bio 100 has that crisp feel and with it I feel more confident changing the shot in the very last moment.
What are your thoughts?

Sorry it took so long to respond. I don't know why I didn't see this. We're on the same page. I find the Bio 100 much quicker through the air. I also find it much crisper. I do find, however, that the London Tour, when hit on the screws, is more powerful, especially as the strings loosen up.
What I like about the London Tour is that it's a very evenly spaced 18x20. The mains aren't as close together as on my M-Fil 200s, and that combined with the soft flex makes it a spin monster when I'm swinging it well.
For some reason, I just keep gravitating to the crisper 4D100, and I don't notice a lot more forgiveness from the London Tour. I just have more confidence with it, and isn't that the name of the game?
I do feel, when I'm serving well, like I have more options with the London Tour because of the longer dwell time, but the 4D100 just fits better.
I think I will take the Wilson ProStaff 90 or reincarnation of the 85 for a spin. I expect those to have the crispness of the 4D100, with a bit more plow.

I love it when I have the initiative on the rally . . . hate it when I am on the defensive as I need a full swing--which I don't always have time for-- to make sure the ball goes deep, otherwise it goes short.
Great on offense, not so much on defense.
I'm 5'7" 133 lbs, there have been more than a few instances when I wished I had a more powerful racket to be able to go toe to toe with some power hitters.
Will string racket with Biphase X-One this coming Thursday to address this power issue.

Could not agree more. You would be amazed at how low you can string this series without the stringbed getting sloppy/unplayable. I keep one of my AG100s in the bag strung at 40 poly 45 syn gut for days when I'm lagging and can counterpunch/play defense pretty well with it. I also played a 4D 100 with syn gut at 40 lbs when I had a shoulder issue and it delivered big time. Of course, the string movement was absurd...
Now I just have to resist the urge to pick up a trio of F100...

putting lead on bio bumps?
So ive been using the 4d100 for the past year and just recently switched to bio 100, and i was wondering if anyone has had problems with putting lead on the silly cosmetic bumps around the frame. Normally i put around 20+ grams at 12, so i was worried that the lead might fly off as it has happened with the 4D, that was until i mastered putting the damn thing on lol. BTW if you think putting 20+ grams on the hoop is extreme i have a leather grip and fill whole handle inside with cured silicone

Prior to customising i went out to hit with my bio100 in stock form and it felt hollow and unstable. Normally i put 50g around the handle and 20+ at the top hoop. Does anyone puts silicone in their 100's or is it just me? does anyone use foam silicone and not that home depot clear stuff which us difficult to measure. i normally use cured silicone for making moulds allowing me for more better application, and more importantly the better grade silicone imo feel softer and more shock absorbing.
