Guys, if you want to see pics of the new pure strike, look up carolzhao95 on instagram. She got them yesterday

yes, hope she posts a bit more on them & it is good "soft story" marketing for Babolat.

Once she closes her twitter, that will be gone.

Meanwhile Sam is back testing, so hopefully she puts out another funny video with Babolat on the Pure Storm.

Seems like good attire now that spring is coming in my part of the world. Congratulations on the look of the strike, by the way.

There is an old-fashioned piece of slang down under that goes 'Well ... strike me lucky' so I'm inclining that way.

Hi Daniel,
Just out of curiosity, in the beginning when the news hit about the new line (pure Strike) you were writing in your posts that it will be not named Strike or Stryke. (if I remember correctly...)
What changed?

And also a more important question, assuming that the specs circulating here are correct why are you not going to produce the Strike tour (heavier version of 320g) with an open pattern 16x19 as well???

just saw a guy hitting with some completely new babolats this afternoon, couldn't see what the name was called or had time to ask him but saw it was completely black from the throat to about mid of the head, and a sick red that runs along the top of the racquet. Basic red on top, black on bottom. Kind of like the wilson design or head design, where there is a solid color on top and another on the bottom. Know for a fact these weren't the strikes, so im assuming they were the pure controls.

What does a full adult national sponsorship include?

I was told if I had a top 10 national ranking for 2 consecutive years I can get full sponsorship.

These sound like the Strikes but be patient all we be revealed.:)

In other news...waiting to see which country wins the Strike ad competition.

Oz still has my vote.

To Bartelby: Keep your shirt on!

DB, If you're a fan of the current Pure Storms, would you advise buying one now before they might disappear in the future?

If the Pure Storms do morph into the Strike and Control, will the Controls still be the awesome light red and white colours of the Storms?

Thanks :)

Nay. Strikes are mainly black with orange accents.

yes, I heard but bb may have thought they looked red...

also what is curious is that carol removed her 3 new strikeframes instagram

off her twitter site..

think DB or somebody from Babolat had a word:)

It's all good though.

I am also hoping Sam is also working with Babolat on a fun video for the new Pure Storm.

Just to have something else to talk about.:)

Rule of thumb: save the pics of new gear when you can. :) Yes, even on your phone if you have no other options.

if we were playing the "hot or cold" game, you wouldn't need a jacket, or maybe a shirt in general
Hi Daniel,
I use the Pure Storm Ltd, out of the new ranges , strike and control, what will be the two rackets closest to the PS Ltd and what will be there weights, string pattern's and head sizes, will they be 320g, 18-20 & 95 sq inches. I get to play test them in a few weeks.
Many thanks as always for your time.

You'll see the new graphics soon. I'd wait to demo the new lines then make your decision.

sorry Dan...I was only teasing.

CZ is an unusual one now being a Stanford player but having seen her play, is very good value for Babolat. Will be mainly US market but she is one of the few: talented & smart.:) Probably a good one for future as she plays more WTA.
Can affect 3 markets: China, Canada & US.

But then you have got lots of good players/ambassadors.

Many players/coaches are getting excited, others less so.

Shout out to Florico: You are a determined poster aren't you??
That is the one thing about the internet/social media; it is fun.:)

Hi Daniel,

I have both a PS 95 and an aerostorm tour. I love the openness and spin of the aero but it doesn't have the beautiful balance and feel that the 95. The weight distribution just doesn't feel quite right. On the other hand the 95 is a too closed a pattern for me and I find it hard to generate the same amount of spin. Is there something I can do to either racket to fill their respective gaps?

Thanks a lot

Babolat, does all those NEW rackets coming out have that sensor to measure spin and so on ?? It is a feature that I really don't care about. My only concern is that it plays better and easier than the previous models. does this new line do this ?

Oh man. Those look nice and thin. Lets hope the pure control is back. 11-5-12oz, 67+ stiffness, 16x19 or 16x20 and 6-8 points headlight pleaaaassseee.

I'm playing with a Pure Storm as of now, and I like the power and the control it offers. However, the weight and balance doesn't let me get as much racquet head speed as I would like.

I'm currently looking into the AeroPro Team GT.

Should I pull the trigger on the Pros, or do you think there are better options for me? Or should I wait for the new racquets coming out

Thanks

@Babolat Official

Are the specs of the Pure Drive Play exactly the same as the specs of the PD2012 (in terms of weight, balance, swing weight)? If I demo a PD, will I have a good idea of how the Play plays?

Back to Babolat

Hello Daniel,
I don't know if you remember me, since a lot of people uses to write you, but about 2 months ago I was asking for your help in choosing a stick.
Anyway 1 week ago I decided to go back to the roots (I used to play 3 yeras ago a Babolat Pure Drive) and purchased a Babolat AeroPro Drive GT, stringed with Babolat Pro Hurricane Tour and I was not dissapointed.
I think it's a great stick, altough a lot of my friends told me, this stick will give me arm pain.
I have a 120m reel of Babolat Pro Hurricane and my question (I need your honest oppinion) is what is the significant difference between the Tour string and normal one? (Besides the price :))
Thanks.
Best Regards

70 RA on the Strikes? < sigh >

Pass, most likely.

Can't see the new Control being in the 60s either, since the swirly was 72.

Pass, again.

If 70RA is unstrung then the strung RA will be a point or two lower, 68RA.

Fair enough, but still at least 5 points higher than I can use any longer.

Too bad, too, as the PJs look pretty sharp, IMHO. I've had my fill of the bumblebee look.
