USTA has just hiked their membership fee almost 50%! (from $30 to $44). This is too high, especially in an obama economy. Need valid promo code to rejoin. Thanks.
The hidden tax called inflation. Get used to it.
well I have not been getting my monies worth for years, guess they need to keep PMac happy and the USTA President because they are certainly not helping the League/Tournament players with sky high entry fees, due to USTA wanting their cut even after Sanction Fees.
No joke here. It's ridiculous how little the USTA actually provides their members. Sure we get the magazine but the articles seem awfully biased as well as the reviews.
Tournament fees are through the roof while the facilities for the events are terrible.
Definitely not getting what I paid for. I'm still on the fence about renewing.
So what happens if I enter the code and it allows me to use it for my renewal as opposed to it supposed to be used for a new user? Will I get an email from USTA asking for the additional $14?
also LMUG13 for a travel mug for renewals, through October

Any renewal codes floating around? If not, when are they normally released?
The only active one is the TLHAT14 for the red US Open cap.

You get the pleasure of paying the USTA for playing in their leagues and then paying more the for pleasure when you play matches. In my section, not only do you have to pay the USTA membership but all matches are played indoors even in the summer and you get to pay $15.00 EACH MATCH FOR COURT FEES. Dropped my membership a few years back. If you are a good player and not an Ahole you can play a ton of tennis without the USTA. The USTA collects tons of money and gives very little back. Volunteers run most of their events.. not sure where the money goes.. but I have given my last dollar to them..
SteveI, you have it good. My court fees for USTA year round were $30! Paying $30 to play indoors on a perfectly beautifully day was pretty stupid. I can justify it in the winter, but when it's nice out, pretty lame.
Its awful being in Atlanta with all of these free public parks to play...it is around $200 to reserve them for a season.
