Looking for a tweener, with a little more control

Demo a Pacific X-Force. I am not even sure what a "tweener" is any more, but this racquet has exceptional feel and control. Power is not lacking either and IMO comes easier than the LM. Want something with a bit more heft? Include the X-Force Pro in your demo. You will be able to bite off angles like nobody's business with either of the racquets -- with plenty of pace and spin.

I tried the X Force comp and thought it was great. I second that suggestion. I tried the X Force for a week and did not like it at all. I blame the strings mostly on that one. I would also suggest a demo of the Head Graphene Instinct. Very easy to use with really good power and above average control.

102in² game improvement frame that is head heavy. I can't blame him for searching for more control given his current racquet.

I'd say Blade 98 in either traditional pattern, or the 104 if you want something more forgiving that is more flexible.

I tried a lot of "tweener" racquets such as the blade 18x20, prestige mp, head graphene speed pro... I found that I had the most control with the 2013 AeroPro Drive. The extra spin allowed my ball to stay in the court more and allowed for my kick and slice serves to have amazing bite. I highly reccommend the 2013 AeroPro Drive. Demo and find out for yourself.

Any of those might be decent options. The Extreme is around 12 oz. The latter two are lighter if you don't want a racquet that heavy.
I have not tried the Volkl. I have used the other two. The Extreme is an excellent racquet...great on the baseline, good spin and better control than you might expect, also good power.
The Blade is lighter and easier to swing. Also has good pop and control. Not as much spin or plow, but better maneuverability. That is the trade-off I guess. Depends on what you prefer. I probably like the Extreme better, but I like the extra mass.

The most obvious tweener choices are usually: APD, PD, Blade.
Have you tried different strings & tensions? I find strings & tension can make a huge difference in the way a racket plays, esp in the control dept. A little weight in the handle to make the balance more comfortable helps too.
I normally use a 100sq in frame, but also 110's & 90's - I don't see much of a difference between a 100 vs 102 or 98. Maybe going from a 102 down to a 98 or smaller will make more of a difference to you.

I bought 2 Volkl V1 Pros about 8 weeks ago and am really liking them. I played Volkl O10 295 customized to 340G, 6HL, 330-335 SW before so I was coming from thin beam frame. I did add 4.5 grams under the bumper and a little to the handle so V1P is now 330g, 4HL, 330-333SW.
V1P is great racket. Plenty of power and spin and control is still outstanding. I have tried other tweeners and did not like them but V1P is kind of between a tweener and players frame. Definitely worth a demo.

Played with the LM4 myself for a while, and while it was a fun stick, really easy to use, the control was indeed lacking. I would suggest something that is a bit heavier (around 11 oz or more), less power and more control oriented. Some suggestions - the Wilson pro open, Bab Aero Pro Drive, Donnay Formula 100 and the Volkl V1.

volkl power bridge 7 was a nice control oriented tweener. i know it's a 107 but i'd put the prince tt warrior oversize in a similar low-for-an-oversize power catagory

Played with the Head LM Instinct for the first time yesterday - I didn't blaze as many balls out, the 18x19 pattern perhaps? Who knows, honeymoon period anyway.
