It could have happened today or maybe it's a pleasant memory. Just share whatever has made you smile or feel warm inside!
Five years or so ago, I raised a litter of five Cocker Spaniel pups in a small condo with sensitive neighbors behind thin walls. Once they were up and ambulatory, I slept on the floor next to their birthing litter to try and manage any late night squealfests. When they would wake, I would often be sound asleep but they would clamber out of their "den" and walk across my chest like Lilliputians exploring Gulliver, always stopping at my face to smell and lick. This thought will stay with me forever and it gets reinforced every morning when one of them, now full grown, says "Good Morning" to me in much the same way!
