Ruined 0&0. I can't beat him yet, don't have a good enough transition game. At least I know what I'm up against for next time.

I need to read the transition game chapter in the German tennis manual! Terrible terrible matchup for me.

We will see how I do next time, but I'm a lightyear away now. Low mid-court or short balls are the bane of my existence.

With what grip are you attempting to strike these offers of kindness from your opponent? :) Short balls should spell "set up" or "put away". :) BHBH

Feel like a Bryan Adams song whenever Jolly loses to someone less talented, less athletic, and far less handsome. Just sitting here filled with tears and showered in GOATsauce.

May the mysterious cosmic Basalt crystals inspire Jolly for the next Open tourney.

Depends on the court positioning and quality of the short balls. A certain Swiss tennis player used to make grown ATP men look silly with his short crosscourt, table tennis-like, "chopper" slice backhands.

I can see how an amateur version of the swiss maestro's shot could present problems to a pirate wielding a leaded-up sword and with a habit of taking large cuts at the ball.

"Cuts Like A Knife", "Please Forgive Me" or the classic "The Only Thing That Looks Good on Me Is Jo11y's Spray Sauce"???

Feel like jumping on the LIRR to Freeport to console Jolly at Hooters. But I'm not a stocker.

True dat. ;)

I was trying to encourage the J-Man. I've hit with Jo11y and want to see him improve and reach his tennis goals.

Still, I love it when folks try to play that shot on me...... It tends to be most effective against those who DON'T want to be at net. But I do. :)

Best,

Was bathing in the Central Park bathroom earlier today and considered Jolly and his provocative threads. Wishing he would stop avoiding the epic production of the Dali VS Jolly match documentary.

You will be crushed to powder in the gears of the Graphene war engine.

The 88 Bruno Basalt GOATstick will ruin you on a humid hardcourt. Basalt burns bright in the eyes of the Boy from Basel. Cortex and Graphene is borne of darkness. It saddens so many that you have wavered in this direction. The only way back is through terrible loss and affliction. And that you have abandoned the Epic Immortal Vapour 6.0 Oreos for Adidas is tragic beyond any rational scope of justice and perpetually fertile sexual frustration.

No. Just no. No way. No how. No!!! ADIDAS? What is this world coming to now, in this post-modern, post-Nike, Adi-clad charade? BHBH

Please, if you have any kind of love for the game and genuine love for Basalt, please pray for Jolly as he enters the next round of competition in a very competitive tourney on the men's Eastern Open Tour. Jolly finally appeared on the Open ranking list last week and is spraying this afternoon on Long Island.

Prease pray for Jolly. #Need more winning.

Bye first round, won 2nd round, blobbed 2-6, 6-7 in third round. I did ok making R16, big money tournament with lots of DI and former ATP guys, I had no chance.

Strong era! Jo11y is to be commended for his bravery in the face of a vast armada surrounding him!

Good effort. You are winning rounds. Keep at it! ;) BHBH

5&2 since my return to the circuit, 1 tournament win, 1 quarter, and 1 R16.

Baby steps. I feel like I'm playing too many matches and losing my timing.

National is this weekend then I am going to scale way back. I feel like 1 1/2 tournaments per month is ideal. Maybe 1 every three weeks?

Ugh, this dude had some serve; he made his first six first serves, aced me 5 times in a row and the sixth ticked off the tip of my racquet and into the seats.

No way I can compete against that without facing guys like that in practice.

That is a lot of training. Do you take any cyclic rest days at least once every couple weeks?

Sometimes I rest Tuesday if life doesn't conspire to cancel another day. I almost never can make it more than two weeks without missing a day due to real life stuff.

There is also copious amounts of gym hottie ogling, buying tennis clothes on our phones, and keeping tabs on Dali's surreal life.
