Darn.... I was hoping for a discount. I logged in to renew and There is a 10% off coupon with a free lunch box for a 3 year renewal ($119). no coupon, just select it. I guess I'll go with that. Thanks lgbalfa

id rather have the tennis magazine. I think that pretty much comes with any, unless you do the hat one.

well i just screwed up. I was doing the 44 dollar membership, had all my info filled out , and was about to click submit. I saw in the corner, family membership, so out of curiosity. I opened another browser to just look at it.
I click submit on the other page and it purchases the 72 dollar family membership.
I guess i have to call and email now to change it. They better refund

It's too much. The subscription to Tennis Magazine should be optional. If members don't want it, they shouldn't have to pay for it.
Club Chopin is officially protesting the USTA.
The previous two years I received their mediocre with a one-year renewal.
The playoffs are a lot of fun. But I'd you are not interested in playoffs it is absolutely a waste.

Maybe it's area dependent. Around here we get about 10 matches in our local area per league season, even before playoffs. Then potentially two local playoff matches, three at districts, and three/four at sectionals, depending.
Even if you don't care about playoffs, the ten local matches are fun, competitive, and a great way to meet more players.

I'm really tired of USTA but there aren't any good alternatives right now. The league tennis and local ones seem to have crappy/non existing players to compete against. Maybe UTR will be a good rival for USTA in 2018 and beyond.

Currently, the code only gets you a "Navy Tennis Hat" but may not be the US Open edition (they are coming out with a new 50th-anniversary logo this year...)
At least paying $44 gets you *something* useful...lol
