T Fight 315?

Yes. It is two continuous 8" strips, centered at 12 o'clock, one on each side of the grommets. It is the 1/4" width lead tape, so each strip is 2 grams. The lead tape ends halfway between the two outer main strings on each side. 10-2, 10:30-1:30? I'm not sure.

Interesting. I was thinking of doing a couple grams at 3 and 9, and a couple at 12, but I might just have to steal this one from you. :)

i have the same thing, but i also added 1g each at 3 and 9. Plus another 1g at 12. total of 7grams in the hoop. I'm estimating thats a sw of around 320. Still is very maneuverable, but has enough heft that it doesn't get pushed around when blocking back a big serve.

I am getting my Dynacore 315's tomorrow. Curious to hear from others about their decisions on weight mods, as well as string set-ups. I am starting with X1Biphase at 50 lbs to see if the racquet will produce enough spin and feel for me to control the power with it and still have lots of touch and put away power. Also, I have struggled with tennis elbow with stiffer frames over the past year, and same with poly strings. Curious to hear about comfort level if anyone tries HDX in this frame. Also if anyone can get their hands on the new Black Code 4S in this frame, and compare the comfort level and spin to Dunlop Black Widow. What frame will Tipsarevic be using in Houston?

Well, it's pretty quick and easy and lead can easily be taken off and changed, so I'd definitely recommend giving it a shot.

My Dynacore should be here Wednesday or Thursday.

Tecnifibre frames are pretty firm aside from the Ltds, so I definitely wouldn't suggest polyester in the Dynacore, assuming it's comparable in stiffness to the 320 that it is replacing.

Interested to hear how they hit. I would think with the wider beam and stiffer flex that they won't have that great feel the ltd's do. Make sure to post a review.

I'm expecting it to feel pretty similar to the TFight 320. Probably a little more maneuverable due to lower static and swing weight, but the same firm/stiff feel.

It won't feel as good as the Ltd...at least I'll be shocked if it turned out to be so.

Yeah its not trying to be a LTD, so I'd say the Dynacore 315 is just a tiny touch stiffer than the tfight 320's and is about a million times better for volleying as its so much less sluggishs but see what you guys think.

I finally got to take it for a brief hit.

Great stick. It is just as stiff as its predecessors, but feels much better, IMO. I don't know if it's the grommets or what, but there are no vibrations. Very muted and crisp. It has a very 'clean' feel off the stringbed.

Easy spin, ample power, maneuverable. It seemed pretty user friendly. It doesn't have that classic, plush feel of the Ltd, but it's much closer comfort-wise than I was expecting.

I haven't got to test anything much beyond groundstrokes, but simply put, I loved it based on my initial hit. It's probably my favorite stock frame to date. I'll definitely be keeping this stick around.

Anyone who liked the Ltd or previous TFights, especially the 320, should really check this Dynacore update out if possible. Great, great frame.

Yep, exactly its much closer to the T-fight320, but OMG is it much, much more manoeuvrable. My slices are a million times better with this, and in particular I suddenly find I can volley after all.

Yes, much quicker moving and swinging stick. I also think it's a noticeable improvement in feel. I liked the 320, but the new 315 is pretty much exactly how I'd want a stiffer frame to feel. I haven't got to try slices yet.

But, I'm very impressed so far. It seems like the lower weight/SW upped the mobility without really sacrificing that much power.

Yesterday I tried my Dynacore 315 with Tecnifibre Black Code 4s 1.25 at 53 lbs. Good control, spin, easy for arm. On the other stick (the same tension) I have Ruff Code 1.30, too much stiff, good spin, tension maintenance perfect. I never played with Dunlop Black Widow...

Another few hours last night with the 315ltd. This stick is really sweet. Not sure if I'm past the honeymoon phase yet, but I think I may have found the one for me. Glad I decided to give it a try, mostly based on this thread. Just picked a few more up on the bay.

Try head protection tape (racquet saver tape). I use it on all my racquets to protect grommets from dirt (I play mostly on clay) but as a side effect it slightly increases the mass and swingweight, as well.

I use Wilson tape, applied from 9 to 3. That length adds ~3g to the head (measured on precision scale). For more mass, you can put two layers etc.

Hey all - noob to these forums, so sorry if this question has been asked, but how does the 315 compare to the Youtek IG Rad Pro? Looking at the specs, it seems the standard mods here get them fairly close.

I have the 315 on my demo list, but own a YT IG Rad Pro, so would love to get your thoughts.

Thank you!

I'm in the exact same situation. Been using youtek IG radical pros with 4grams of lead for about 3 years now but need a replacement. I demoed the new tfight dynacore 315 but it had a poor quality multifilament which was nothing like my big banger original. The tecnifibre needed a bit of lead tape and then it swung really nicely but just couldn't get past the strings! If anyone has also demoed the new 315 with a decent poly I'd love to know if you think it's something that could replace the radical.... The new radicals are horrible...

I will give you my opinion.

I would say they are two of the most comfortable frames I've used, but they definitely do not feel the same. The IG Rad Pro has a lot of flex on impact...I have yet to play another frame like it. The 315 has a kind of soft, plush feel, but is more solid on impact. I prefer the more solid/less flexy feeling of the TFight.

As far as performance - it's tougher to say because I've customized my Ltd and it plays better that way. I've only played the Radical stock.

In stock form, the differences are far more pronounced and obvious. The Radical is more powerful and stable. The Ltd is faster and more maneuverable.

With 4 grams of lead from 10-2 on the Ltd, the power levels are pretty similar. I still prefer the balance/maneuverability of the 315 after adding the weight. I also think it has better control. Keep in mind that I only demoed the IG Rad Pro for a week, along with 3 other frames, so I would not say I ever truly got adjusted and dialed in with it. I've played with a customized TFight for 2 years.

I thought both were good serving sticks.

In my opinion, the real decision comes down to which feel you prefer - the noticeable flex of the Radical or the more solid feel of the TFight. Otherwise, I think you can achieve pretty similar performance with either.

Based on the fact that you like the IG Radical and hate the new Graphene (and didn't like the Dynacore demo), I'm going to assume you prefer the softer flex frames, in which case the 315 Ltd would be a better choice than the Dynacore.

I love both TFight 315s, but the new one is nothing like the old IG Radical Pro. It's stiffer, with a lower SW. That makes it much more maneuverable, but less powerful.

I think the Ltd would be a pretty good option to replace it. A few grams of lead brings the SW up and will give you a similar performance, IMO. It won't flex like the Radical, but it's still a soft, comfortable frame.

It's pretty sweet with a gut/poly setup. I've got two strung that way right now.

Well, you'd most definitely thank us if racquets were free.:)

Conversely, I wouldn't mind having an IG Radical just because I haven't found another frame quite like it. I think it would be a fun stick to pull out and hit with from time to time.

Well, fwiw I picked up my rad ig pro along w/ a couple ig prestige pros pretty recently at deep discount new. I figure that between my gf and I, we pay $4.2k /mo. In rent, and with tiny apartments going for $1mm+ here in SF, another $200 isn't going to make much difference in my financial future. We all gotta rationalize somehow =)

So... after ordering my second 16 Main the other day, I decided to take the plunge and demo the 18 Main, prettty much just to say I did, I guess. I've never been a fan of 18x20 string patterns, have always struggled with the launch angle and don't like the drop off in power and spin. The GPMP is about the only one that I sort of found a groove with.

After about an hour and a half long hitting session tonight, albeit I was hitting other demos and my 16 Main, all I can say is... WOW!!!

It was hands down the best feeling racquet I have ever hit with. It was literally point and shoot. Overflowing with control, as well as easy access to spin and power. I was simply amazed. It seemed everything I asked the racquet to do, it delivered in full effect. I usually really struggle with serves with a denser pattern, and while there was a drop off in spin, it seemed I could literally put the ball anywhere in the service box that I wanted, and second serves were just effortless.

Now, I really love my 16 mains, and feel like this might have been somewhat of a honeymoon stage as I was swinging quite well, but if this continues, I will absolutely have to acquire a couple of 18 mains.

I'm sure this information is elsewhere in this monstrous thread, but does anyone else keep both in their bag?

Power Player, JGads, spinovic, etc... HELP! Lol.

Thanks for the feedback. Think I might just bite the bullet and purchase one tfight dynacore and lead it up a bit. I'm sure I can adjust to the softer feel.
If all else fails then will definetly go with the 315 ltd 16mains as judging by the length of this thread it seems like a pretty special racquet!

Never tried the 18x20. I'd like to and still consider getting one sometimes for the same reason as you...just to satisfy my curiosity. I would be a bit irked if I found out I liked it better, since I have 3 of the 16x19. Ignorance is bliss.:)

If I do decide to try an 18x20 in the foreseeable future, there's a pretty good chance it will be this one. It is kinda interesting that all of the heavier TFights (300 g or more) are either 16x19 or 18x19 except for the Ltd. I think it may be the only 18x20 they make. I wonder, does one extra cross really make much difference?

I also wonder if any of the smaller, well-established manufacturers will release any 'spin' frames in the future? By smaller, I mean not one of the Big 5 (Babolat, Dunlop, HEAD, Prince, Wilson). All of those have done so. Will Tecnifibre, Yones, ProKennex, Volkl, or Pacific ever follow suit? Yonex has actually gone in the opposite direction with their recent 16x21 offerings. I'd likely have to try a Tecnifibre TSpin.:)

I would be very interested in your findings should you ever try the 18 Main. I hear you on the irked thing, I'm pretty ticked that I didn't wait to buy my second 16 until I tried the 18.

It was weird, to be honest. It was unlike any 18X20 racquet that I've ever hit. Such a great launch angle, a little flatter, and I've never fealt more in control of my shots before.

That's an interesting question about the spin frames. I think as successful as these new open string patterns have been, I would think the smaller companies are gonna have to follow suit sooner or later. I myself would definitely be on board to try a Tec or Yonex open pattern. I would also like to see a company put out a heavier open pattern frame, most if not all of them are pretty light in stock form.

I played the youtek PP for years. It just got too heavy for me. The 315 is similar once you add a little lead in the hoop. Much more feel, tho. Not as stiff. Doesn't have the plow the pp has, obviously, since its lighter. Good trade-off for me since I had to get something 12oz or below.

I'm currently using the 315 ltd 16m as my main racquet, but even if I added 6g of lead tape to the head (at 11 and 1) I still feel the racquet as a bit flimsy and not superstable. I'm tempted to add some more weight (I don't mind heavy racquets), but I'm not sure where I could add it and if this feeling comes from the racquet or the strings (Genesis Black Magic @ 23/22kg) or what. Any suggestions? Racquet now weighs 347g with strings, dampener, lead tape and overgrip (Signum Pro Magic Grip).

Spinovic the TFIGHT 315 dynacore 16*19 you recommended to me was the new one right? Not the LTD edition that you play with?

I am about to pull the trigger on it so I wanted to know judging from the desciption of my game (posted on my earlier threads) which you thought suited my game?
Is THE ltd or the new one better?

No. I suggested the 315 Ltd version to you based on the initial post in your thread asking for recommendations. Actually, I think I suggested trying the Graphene Prestige MP.

In any case, you mentioned the IG Prestige MP and Donnay X-Dual Silver 99. Of those two, I've only played the Donnay. And it is my opinion that the 315 Ltd is more like the Donnay than the new Dynacore 315.

TFight 315 Ltd - the pros are that it is available in two patterns (I use the 16x19 and have never played the 18x20), the comfort/feel are as good as you'll find, with just a few grams of lead (3-5) it is does everything well

The cons are that many find it underpowered and unstable in stock form so it needs some customization to really shine (although I liked it better in stock form than most did, there is definitely truth in this), so you end up with a 12 oz stick if you want it at its best

The 315 Dynacore is better in stock form. It's fast and maneuverable, easy spin. The power level is about average to me. I think it's comfortable, but it is definitely stiffer.

In my honest opinion, the biggest difference is the stiffness. Do you prefer a softer, plusher feel, or the more modern, stiff, muted feel? I think you can get very similar performance/results from either. The other question is whether you want an 18x20. If you do, the Ltd is the choice (unless you want to try the 305 Dynacore).

Thanks for the info. I was under the impression you were rec the Technifibre. Anyways thats immaterial now.
From what I got the LTD is great but has to be souped up to nearly twelve ounces which is too much for me.
However, I am torn as I do prefer a plush rather than a muted feel. But I think there are more pros in the camp of the new 315 which makes it more viable in my opinion for me. But I prefer the 16*19 string pattern as well.
I just hope that I can get used to the muted feel stiff feel.

As I have gone ahead and gone for the new 315 .

I was shocked to find a thread with so many users of the technifibre racquet. Didnt know so many people played with them:)

Its a very vocal minority playing them. I tried the 315ltd because of reading this thread. Otherwise I probably would have never even considered a Tecnifibre racket. Most shops don't even stock them, you have to special order. Its pretty rare to run into another player using them, or at least I never have.

Hey Spino, so I played my extensive play test with the Dynacore 315, and loved it, but need to get myself some now TW Europe have their Demo back. Not a problem you'd think? Well yes it is. They only have 1 grip size 2(4&1/4Inch) left.

I emailed and not only would they not sell me that one at the discounted price they sell pairs for but worryingly they said it doesn't look like they will be getting any more!!!!

A new line and they are basically saying I wont be able buy them. Kind of defeats the object of sending the demo, and definitely not the usual TW standard

I'm really disappointed, and not least because I've realised the 320 Samurai's Ive rocked for years are just that tiny, tiny bit too heavy and slow to come around when volleying etc, and the only other frame ever like is the APD which is too light for me really in the end
GRRR!!!

Me either. And, to be honest, I think several of the people who posted in this thread have since moved on to something else. It's a great stick. This thread is sort of what lead me to get this one.

I was intrigued by it the first time I saw it available on TW, but if the story ended there, I'd have never tried it because it was Tecnifibre. But, in the midst of doing some buying, selling and trading on the classifieds, I ended up trading an X-Dual Silver 99 for a TFight 320 and I loved it. It quickly became my favorite frame. So, eventually, based on that, my own curiosity and this thread, I just bought a 315 Ltd without demoing and loved it as well. The rest is history.:)

I think you may like it. The RA is only 67, so while it doesn't feel plush per se, it certainly isn't uncomfortable. I actually really like the way it feels and it plays great, IMO. It's very fast and maneuverable.

I'd keep the one I have currently, but I think I'm going to go for the 300 Dynacore to see how it plays with 15 grams less weight. I'm looking to find me a notably lighter frame to keep in the bag for fun and the 315 wouldn't be drastically different than my Ltd.

By the way, I love the matte finish on the new TFights. I don't like the actual graphics as good as the Ltd, but I prefer the matte over the glossy finish.

Anyway, good luck with it.

GRRR!!!

Yeah, can't believe TWE wouldn't be able to keep the newest TFights in stock. They've only been out for a couple months.

That's bad planning by somebody, somewhere, whether it's Tecnifibre or TW. I'm hoping to pick up a 300 before too long, so I hope I don't run into that problem.

I wasn't really looking to change sticks either. Has been following this thread for a while with interest. I kinda stumbled across a 16m on **** for really cheap and decided to give it a try. Love the feel. Love the low power. Great on the backhand slice(I don't know exactly why, but it is). Great feedback on all shots. Best frame I've ever volleyed with. I have to work harder on the serve vs my graphene pp, but the results are coming.
Now its a month later and I have 4 of them, and am unloading my 3 graphenes. Nice thing is that I will basically break even money wise, except for the fact that I have to have the tecs reduced to 4 1/4 grips at $40 a pop. Tough to find a 1/4 out there.
If I ever bump into another guy playing this stick it will probably be someone from this thread.

Mine are all 3/8, which is fine. But, recently I've been playing some 1/4 grips and I wish my Ltds were 1/4. Where are you getting them reduced? How do they do it? If it seems feasible, I might try it mysel.

I really like the feeling of that slightly smaller grip...1/4 with an OG feels perfect to me.

I've been digging the Wilson Pro Sensation OG, which helps because it's so thin, but I'd still love to have mine a size lower.

But, I can play as they are and not be bothered.

I played 3/8ths(with overwrap) myself for years. Tried 1/4 about 6 months ago, what a difference. Maybe its in my head, but it just feels like I can get more whip on the racket with the 1/4(also with overwrap).
Nice thing about the tec's is they use the same pallet system as head. The 315's have that more rectangular grip like the prestiges. Lots of people don't like that, I actually do. It is doable to change them yourself, there are TT threads and youtube videos where its discussed. I looked into doing it myself, but it really didn't make much sense. I'm lucky enough to have an **** shop right down the road from me. For $40 they switch out the pallets, put a head buttcap on it with the trap door(the tec buttcaps are terrible looking with no trap door, btw) and rewrap it with the existing leather. Not worth doing it myself for the savings of a few bucks, and the risk of screwing it up.

Well, finally took out the 315 in stock form other than a vibe damper and two Tourna overgrips. Now I realize that it takes some lead to shine, and I'm really looking forward to testing it now that I've added lead tape, but in stock form I was AWFUL with it. I felt like everything was exceptionally short when I tried to get some good TS on the ball, or would sail long on me if I tried to get more depth.

Just to double check, I pulled out my YT IG PP and was able to hit the shots I was used to hitting, but for me, stock just wasn't working.

After getting home, I added 5g total of lead placing 2g each at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock, and 1 gram at 12 o'clock. The static weight is 347.5 with dual Tournas. My concern is that my PP tends to get a little heavy after a few sets, so I was hoping that a lighter, but similar setup might work a little better for me.

I'm new to customization, so any input is definitely appreciated. I'm really looking forward to dialing this thing in!

BTW - I swore I'd asked for VS mains @ 56 / Alu Power crosses @54, but the racquet came strung with Lux mains, VS crosses @56/54 respectively.

You may want to concentrate the lead more towards 12 o'clock to get more power and depth. I don't know how heavy is too heavy for you, but at 347g you are probably getting close to what your pp weighed. You'd also save about 5 grams with one wrap instead of 2 on the grip. Could use that extra weight in the hoop.

Graphene was a racq I was going to buy...if you were to compare now that you have played with both how do they rate in terms of feel, comfort, plushness/stiffness spin etc....

And by the way I stumbled across 4 1/4 grip size 4 years ago and have not looked back since previously being a 43/8 grip size user.

I think you may like it. The RA is only 67, so while it doesn't feel plush per se, it certainly isn't uncomfortable. I actually really like the way it feels and it plays great, IMO. It's very fast and maneuverable.

Thanks so much for your advice and help...I will be getting the racquet in ten days or so as it sis being shipped to me across the globe and will update this thread accordingly..........
I am surprised that is being sold out at many racq forums

You think this is because the shops bought less (not anticipating the demand) or that the manufacturer just made less of them?

i.e. would more be available months down the road if one were to want to buy more?

Graphene PP is definitely more powerful than the tec, or at least it has easier power. For me the spin potential is roughly the same. No contest as far as feel. Tec is great feeling stick, has that nice flex at impact. The prestige is very crisp feeling, which some don't like. I didn't mind it. I actually used the prestige specs as my model for how I have the tec set up now. Added lead to get the sw up around 325 like the prestige. The prestige is the best frame I've ever served with. Spin, power, it did everything I asked it to do. I can't really say anything bad about the prestige. The tec just seems to fit my liking a little more. Prestige may have been a little to powerful for me, which is partly due to the fact that I like to hit out but my strokes aren't that great fundamentally, so a really low powered frame helps me keep the ball in. Hope that helps a little.

So I measured my 315 at home today:

347.5g (w/ 2 Tourna wraps, Sampras damper)
5g lead (w/ 2g at 3, 2g at 9, and 1g at 12)
SW ~331
Balance 12.9" / 32.9cm / 4.5 points HL
Alu power mains / VS gut crosses

Seems a little heavier than most, and I haven't hit it yet. I realize I can cut ~6g by removing one of the overwraps, but what have you guys found as your favorite setups?

Looks like you got a frame on the heavier end of the production tolerance. I have 1g each at 3*9. 4g running from 11 to 1(8" piece). Plus extra 1g at 12. So that's 7g total in the hoop, plus 7g over wrap, rubber band dampener. Total weight is 342g.
Scroll back thru this thread. Someone compiled a list of everyone's weighting a while back.

I've been trying to locate that post and compile my own list from both this and the Diary thread, but have been somewhat unsuccessful thus far. I've found a few posts, but they all vary in when / where in the experimentation process they are:
