Last year didn't Miami have a really random upset win over UNC? Or was it someone else? It came out of nowhere.

ACC victories last year included @ GaTech, Wake Forest, NC State, and @ Boston College
Ah yeah I was thinking of the Wake win.
Kirijax you may call me crazy but I think the Canes might beat Clemson next week.
These score boards...
They played like bc today. ..okay lomacki injured?
Miami needs a new coach pronto!!
How about Vallverdu?? Surely his experience with Murray has brought him connections.
How should I know? College tennis announces nothing.
Looks like the wheels have come completely off of the men's tennis team. They went up to No. 23 Louisville today.
Here were the scores.
Doubles 1: 3-6 (stopped when doubles point was decided)
Doubles 2: 1-8
Doubles 3: 2-8
Singles 1: 1-6, 3-6
Singles 2: 1-6, 2-6
Singles 3: 0-6, 5-7
Singles 4: 2-6, 0-6
Singles 5: 3-6, 4-6
Singles 6: 3-6, 3-6
Horrible. Words cannot describe how bad this team is now. There need to be some changes after this season. If there are not, the school will prove that they care nothing about results.
"North Carolina's 9th best win is over East Carolina or Miami both of which are ranked below 115 and should be below 125."
HOW???!!! BELOW 125??! Maybe they should join the A-Sun and play teams in Florida at their level.
The Canes men go down to their 5th straight 0-7 loss. They have not won a single dual point since they beat Boston College on March 29. They have dropped 70 of 76 sets since then. The level of ineptitude is indescribable.
They actually took two sets today. Tefel came this close to actually winning his match. This is considered a small victory for the '15 Canes.
Actually showing up vs UVA
LOL You mean like how they actually managed to win two out of six first sets?
True. That's good for them.
well vs Virginia that's not bad for any ACC team really. Lomacki had a lead on Frank in the 1st set too. It would be stunning if Gonzalez held on here vs Altamirano.
Had some hope for the women's team, but they coughed up a huge hairball today against the No. 10 seed Florida State in the ACC quarterfinals. Just pathetic. Their ranking could take a hit and there is the possibility they won't even host a NCAA regional now.
If this season was a fish, I'd throw it back.
Well, the Miami women hung on to the #15 spot. They will host a regional and face #2 UNC in the round of 16 if they advance to Waco.
Any news on Rincon's status?
Rincon has been the head coach for UM’s men’s tennis team for 11 seasons, receiving numerous accolades throughout his journey.
But it’s not about the wins and achievements for him.
"He gets to know all of the players,” assistant coach Mark Dickson. “He really understands each one of them. He finds out what makes them tick and what motivates them.”
Freshman Piotr Lomacki even regards Rincon as one of the best people he has ever met.
“When it comes to choosing your coach it’s very important because they will be with you for four years and Coach Rincon is great,” Lomacki said.
This season, Rincon had to coach a very young team, including seven freshmen who brought a different atmosphere to the team.
“They’re really loud. Much louder than any team I’ve ever coached,” Rincon said. “But they’re a great group of guys to work with. I definitely enjoy seeing them improve on a daily basis.”
This Miami team should not be that bad in theory. They have two ranked players and Max Andrews used to be ranked earlier in the year. The bottom of the lineup does not look that weak either. The players do have some talent. It's like the past couple of years actually. The players are not untalented. Flores(Gabriel), Aly, Gonzalez etc. These guys were talented players. Not to mention Tsukamoto who hit one of the cleanest balls around in college. But there is just something lacking.
This year it's hard to tell if they are any good because they have played so few matches. They just gave Michigan a decent 4-3 match where they blew the doubles point. Maybe Miami can be a bit of a surprise. Beat a few teams in the ACC and get into the rankings before the year is over.
Has Kirjax already given up on the Canes this year?
