I really hope it gets re-issued like ps-85. I'd definitely purchase some!
time to bump this thread. I'd buy at least one of each of the reissues suggested. put the old school paint on them, just like TW did with the PS85.
yeah... a friend of mine found one at goodwill for $5 near mint... he was like... "is this thing something good" a pc600
me, "it is legendary"
i played with it some... twas very nice.. like the Prestige IGMP I was using at the time but more plush, pinpoint and rewarding. no vibration dampner needed. Not magical but "majestic"... in a way that no MP ever can be. MP's are practical but legendary mids like the PC600, Fischer vacuum 90, Max 200g and PS85 al l have things that we connoisseurs appreciate being reminded of by experiencing.
It's just madness. They are making them for their Pros. They can make more and have a profit on by selling to us. However they choose not too.I just don't understand why they can't just bring back the old pc600 in todays paintjob. There is obviously a demand, however big or small it is, it would be more of a demand than that of the rev pro. Is it simply due to a higher cost to manufacture the older style pc600 racquets?

Please do it in this paint job....drool...
And to therefore admit that last 30 years of R&D was worth sh*t, since they don't make better frames nowadays?
For example, industry didn't need any new materials that were not used in 80's. It's all actually for marketing reasons only.
Well..., it is probably true. The Pro Staff reissue plays nothing like the St.Vincent or Chicago. I have a total of five, including a Taiwan version and two each of the Chicago and St. Vincent. Even the Taiwan version feels very different. I would not particularly be expecting much from the reissue.@HEAD Penn Official keep reppin' that GP rev pro! lookin forward to the XT.
I would buy a reissued PC600 for S&G's, but i guarantee all these ppl would complain it "doesnt play like the original"

Its all marketing BS but I still don't get why they decided to modernize the Prestige. Ok it might not be as popular as it was in the day but it still has a loyal niche following and used by pros. If you want a modern frame they have the Extreme, Instinct, Speed, Radical lines (and the Ti etc). Thats at least 20 to choose from. If you want a classic, nothing.
TW obviously had no trouble selling the last of the Youteks or IG.
Yes,very irrational from my former(18years)brand No.1.I can't do anything with the Graphenes, neither the Prestiges or the Radicals
By the way,Graphene is the Ugliest Word of the year.
They are making the PC600 right now! Safin seems to be fine with it!!!yep, add the dunlop MW200 to reissues that weren't like the original in many ppl's minds. No way to go back to the original austrian-manufacture PC600.
Volkl is still selling the C10 Pro and updates the paint job. The PC600 was and is a far more popular racquet. But it's bad for marketing and sales.
Marketing continuously sells you (or at least tries to sell you) the story that new designs are more advanced and better than the old ones, right?
So in case they reissue they want to degrade that 'classic' as well - on purpose. How else they can prove their 'point' otherwise?
Let's suppose they reissue the classics with the same head size as the new upgrades. And then it suddenly turns out that players buy classics more than new designs, because they like them way better. How would that affect company image?
The Prestige Classic continues to be used on the ATP Tour since 1986. That's 30 years of the original Prestige Mid. The only other racquets that have that kind of longevity on the Tour are racquets like the Dunlop Maxply Fort, Wilson Jack Kramer Autograph, and Slazenger Challenge No.1.

You see the C10 Pro is the og 10 series. Now you are up to the Super G organix 10. Volkl has kept the C10 Pro in line along with the V1 Classic while there has been many new V1 with the Suoer G V1 being the latest.I wanted to find some market share pie chart, but I didn't succeed so far.
Anyway, Volkl doesn't share similar market position as Head. This means that Head did a great job in that respect during all these years (let alone their mistake with the Graphene series).
On the other hand, I don't see Volkl either produces two C10 Pro's line - they strictly keep it a classic.
head so scared of cannibalizing their new line maybe because its weakest in years so they don't want to destroy what little they have
PC600 or PT280 reissue would be wonderful. Country of manufacture is a non-issue. The China PS85 reissue confirms that the quality can live up to a very high standard.

Is this the consensus? I thought the ps85 reissue from china was way too flexible and didn't play like original ps85 or even the ps85 reissue from the 90s.
Good point with V1 Classic along with V1 updates. As for C10 and 10 series I think that Volkl has taken out the relationship without this C in the name. You may or may not agree but that's the way I see it. But altogether this is stil Volkl, their market position is different to Head.
Now I don't say Head needed the strategy they have taken. They could have taken completely different strategy. But by taking the path of 'innovation leader' who 'constantly improve their classics with each series' (that's the card they play at the market) they must not allow themselves moves which might jeopardize image they carefully build.
Of course all of this is just the way I see it.
And how hard is to approximately replicate stiffness from classic model. Is it quality control, lousy china manufacturing...or deliberate change of specs?
I think it's clear that it is deliberate, I don't buy that china manufacturing cannot make similar frame to the classic one.
You can have all you want. There's plenty for you. They are on sale, I hope you are stocking up.REV PRO 4EVA

What power? Unless you added about 30g to it. The Rev Pro was and still is a stupid idea. Now the Prestige Classic is very very nice with easy power and yet good control. Look how many big time servers use the Prestige Classic over the years. This is one of the few things i disagree with you VS. I find the Rev Pro very very nice. I know i am one of the few, but the easy power and yet good control i get from this frame is good for me and my game

@HEAD Penn Official
Please please please talk them into reissuing some rackets.
My tip is, release mp with 16x19 drill pattern so that it appeals to spin based games
There is nothing I want more than a solid head classic frame in open pattern
Even just take the mold and add graphene dust, no one would bat an eye at the same racket being called graphene if you do the same thing as with these....just don't change it please
Even those are gone....there is no current offering for a soft layup open string pattern prestigesounds like the Youtek IG Pro, just with graphene dust instead of Youtek dust?
Too expensive...Buy and use the old ones, where's the problem?
Wait, you're a college tennis player and you don't want a stiff, metallic, hollow feeling, tinny, and vibrating playing racquet? I thought all modern college players wanted that?!Too expensive...
And would need 3-5 because college tennis

God no, I use radicals, but hate the tinny feel.Wait, you're a college tennis player and you don't want a stiff, metallic, hollow feeling, tinny, and vibrating playing racquet? I thought all modern college players wanted that?!
