Oversize rackets - specifically Head Speed Xt PWR

I was hitting with a buddy the other day and he had a bunch of Demo's. For fun, I tried a couple and found that I really like the Head Graphene XT Speed PWR. Played a set of doubles with it and found it has a huge sweet spot, lots of power, great spin, very stable and light weight. I...

local league, need a better ranking system

I organize a summer doubles league and keep track of wins/losses and scores. we play one set, winners move up losers down a court. Typically we play 3 sets each night. there is a wide range of skills... mostly 4.0, but more and more 4.5s, plus a few 3.5 players. We are a small town... my list...

    Seeking string advice..

Just thought I would provide an update... I switched to the Yonex Vcore about a year ago, and I've been using Technifibre strings now for almost half a year. My arm has really healed up with softer multifilament strings, at a lower tension. My arm is feeling much better, I'm serving better...

    Multi vs Gut durability?

I ended up not really liking this full bed of Bab 17 vs gut, I couldnt control it and seemed to launch a lot of balls. The tension dropped down to 34 pounds over time, and it didnt last very long (10 sets?) before developing serious grooves in the mains. I have 3 strung up with Technifibre...

    Multi vs Gut durability?

Exactly, yes. But I'm not using Poly. I was using a multi. The vibe dampener seems to have fixed this for me, and now that I think about it went down a few pounds too.

    Multi vs Gut durability?

On the main strings, above the top string. (Top being the top of the head, not the sides and the opposite end from the grip and 'butt' end which is the bottom)

    Multi vs Gut durability?

Techie is a nice word for it ;) I posted a short entry on strings to my BLOG and even started my own spreadsheet for strings.. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZX07MAH1Efq8wl911KFX_BwovU0pOyw4wH6TQ-fnSwA/edit?usp=sharing My stringer has a lot of experience and did...

    Multi vs Gut durability?

Yup, mine break when I hit the top... only so much I can do about that.. but the dampener seemed to take care of those. "The stringer moved a notch down a bit, from the top." What do you mean? Stringer moved the clamp? I'll have to ask him if he changed anything.

Yonex 6 pack Club tennis bag

I have that bag and like it. It has 2 main compartments, you can put 3 racquets in each, or like me 3 in one, and your shoes/clothes misc in the other. There are 2 smaller compartments for misc stuff like strings, wallet, keys etc. There is no separate shoe bag on mine. I will post a picture...
