I should clarify. This is from swinging for short balls when my racquet nicks the ground. Generally it would just grind down the grommet a bit, now I hear a sharp plastic noise each time this happens, rather than the usual scrape. The retailer I purchased the racquet from what kind enough to...
Same exact tension as the Youtek Prestige. Using one of those tension thingamajigs it matches almost perfectly.
Played for an hour or so and my arm is still a bit sore! Restrung another at what amounts to 56 lbs (knob at 60, levels out to 56lbs by they time I clamp). Will give it another...
Quick question! I've been playing with a Youtek Prestige Mid for a while now, ended up stringing it at whatever tension balances out to ~60 lbs by the time I clamp (I think the knob is on 66 or so).
The Youtek IG Prestige Mid has lower tension recommendations that don't cover my eventual...
This is frustrating. Noticed the Youtek Prestige Mid was *finally* on sale. Quickly demoed the IG Prestige Mid and MP before going for the sale price... Will definitely be going for the IG Prestige Mid when YTK Prestige Mid's die.
On a side note: a poster mentioned he went for the IG...
Does anyone have any actual information demonstrating that poly can cause/increase likelihood of injuries? I string MSV Focus Hex at ~59 lbs in a Youtek Prestige Mid (18x20). Arm feels great, play 3-8 hours a week at a decent level. When I tried a lower tension, ~50 lbs, arm was hurting...
Strange. I string a Youtek Prestige Mid at ~ 59 lbs with full MSV Focus Hex 1.23mm. No issues whatsoever with my arm. Often go months of 3+ hours a week without issue.
Gave 50 lbs tension a try one day. Felt odd, and pain after the first day. Back to 59 lbs.
You should feel proud. You played real tennis, not tennis for show.
If you can win and still attack your opponents strengths, go for it; if not, there is no shame in attacking their weaknesses.
For those of you with the ASO - how do you care for it? Hand wash? Washing machine? Nothing at all?
Just picked one up last week, my right ankle has been giving me trouble.
I purchased these based on various posts here. Wide feet, low/no arches, they feel great.
First time I put them to the test, the abnormally high soles started to buckle during fast momentum changes, whereas my old Barricade's would slide a little and stop. It's not a pleasant feeling. I'm...
I'm a bit confused. Is there ever a situation where catching a ball in play is appropriate, official match or otherwise? Unless you are playing without barriers behind you, I would find an opponent catching balls odd, to say the least.
Now, if there was a legitimate issue with sportsmanship...
