Down 'n out in Boynton Beach ...

Hey John, looked over the Djoko and Gulbis FH, nice job.

Didn't get into taking measurements, but on Nole's FH, at first contact, the ball center line is on top main 2, the ball at full impact load sits dead center on the long axis, and exits slightly below. As for Gulbis, I'd say top main 3, full impact M 1, and exit slightly below that, about long axis level. Pretty much what I expected to see. Considering that both shots were hit with a relatively open face angle, on a hard drive with a more closed face we'd likely see a somewhat 'stretched' version of the contact patch, meaning more distance between first touch, full impact, and exit, along with more pronounced string displacement.

Also gonna check out the stills in the Gulbis thread. Great shots, whoever took them ...
