I just picked up a demo to try tomorrow, it has a cheap 16g syn gut at 53 lbs, so if I like this stick yet want to enlarge to sweetspot w/ more power. What would you recommend for set up string/ tension.
I know this has been discussed ad nauseam , but in my lifetime I've always seen at least two Americans in the top ten. The last decade + there's been a big drop off - what is the problem IYO. With all due respect to the " Brits" but to get our butts kicked two years in a row is hard to fathom.
Btw I made it back to NY/ Island for the Macy's day parade with three of my kids and a great vacation in 2012. My next favor is a few lessons if/when I get back to the island , drinks are on me :) Also if you ever make it to Minnesota , yea the drink thing.
Another great attribute of this stick is no arm/elbow pain - my only struggle so far is that high hard hit balls to my bkhnd that I tend to volley long and those out of position stab shots. So far the +'s outnumber the -'s.
' Jolly Roger" - he was nice enough to drive to my old neighborhood ( Oakdale, Long Island) and take and post pictures of my old neighborhood about 5 or 6 yrs ago. How many strangers would do something like that. Very few I think. thanks again.
Played two hrs this morning with the POG & it was great, strings loosened a tad. Great plow through with this stick & I find better control. than the ' Aero Drive". Everything was a +except maybe those quick exchanges at the net. The crazy thing again is the control considering it's a 107".
I bought two of these from TW after I saw the sale they had, true they're the same as the last version with a new paint job. I generally play with the Aero Drive Babolat , but missed that old school feel and control that the modern sticks don't have.
