Nadal is probably skipping the USO

Given the massive amount of Restrictions that will likely be put on the US Open for it to even happen I am betting many players will choose to forgo it either because they don't want to have to quarantine for 2 weeks before hand and then undergo daily testing, or because NY was at one point the...

    Sabatini: Graf's great rival?

Just because she was handed the number one ranking doesn't mean she didn't have to claw her way back up. She had to prove to everyone she could compete, she had to prove that the decision to give her that ranking was warranted, she had to prove herself to everyone, and prove herself to herself...

Any updates on how the Covid19 players are doing?

I also lost between 5-10lbs in a week because of the all the Gastro-intestinal issues and the fact I was barely eating anything.

Any updates on how the Covid19 players are doing?

I never ONCE had a fever consistent with what they classify as a "Covid Fever" (a temp of higher than 100.3 at the time I was diagnoses). The highest my Temp every got during the entire time I was sick was 99.4. Unless I was popping a fever as I slept and didn't realize it, but I didn't wake up...

Any updates on how the Covid19 players are doing?

I meant the flu in the sense that the flu vaccine is a, at best, a random stab at what strains of the flu virus will be present that year. Even with the flu vaccine tons of people still get the flu if they predicted the strains wrong or just simply refused the vaccine. We don't know enough about...

Any updates on how the Covid19 players are doing?

Numbers in some US States are actually on a very clear downward trend. States like where I live where regulations were strict, were enforced and people actually listened are actually reopening and still seeing numbers on a decline. In places where people are being stupid and not listening to the...

Any updates on how the Covid19 players are doing?

Sympthomatic. I had a horrible cough, for several days I felt like I had razor blades in my throat. My appetite went down the drain and I had to force myself to eat which was not fun between the throat and the cough. I also had all the lovely gastro-intestinal issues as well as sleeping 12-14...

Any updates on how the Covid19 players are doing?

it took my about a month total to feel fine. Even after I was cleared by every agency seemingly known to man I was still really weak because it tanked my appetite for a week and I hardly ate...my breathing was messed up for a few weeks after as well and I couldn't do things that prior I could...

Any updates on how the Covid19 players are doing?

quarantine meaning locked in your room with no outside contact. I had covid 19 and the 2 weeks I had to be locked in my bedroom was honestly horrible...and I didn't even have an extreme case requiring a ventilator or a hospital trip, my mother however did.

Any updates on how the Covid19 players are doing?

Quarantine is required for 14 days for all outside visitors to NY at this time. Unless there is a drastic change in the virus magically in the next say..month it will likely be the case for the US Open. That will mean any player intent on playing will have to come probably a month in advance...

    Sabatini: Graf's great rival?

Venus I agree is one of the best movers ever..as tall as she is she could be awkward, have balance issues...any number of issues (Davenport had several of them when forced to run). Venus in another life could have been a dancer, so elegant. I think the main difference between Venus and Serena...

Players who you only know because of one match

some for the ladies Marlene Weingartner- AO 2003 Jill Craybas- Wimbledon 2005 Roberta Vinci- USO 2015 (established player especially in doubles but she didn't really become a mainstream name until she upset Serena here)

Was Sharapova supposed to be the next legend? Slam win at 17.

It was really only, max, 50% her looks at her age. It was also the fact that she beat Serena. If Mauresmo had taken out Serena and Maria beat her, I doubt she would have gotten half the hype she got at 17.
