Battle in The ATL - MEP vs Travler Match Thread

This was funnier before you edited it to include "strong eastern," because I thought you were being sarcastic about Nadal. But if you're serious, that's easy - Tsitsipas. He would lose to the paraguayan in straights though, I'm sure.

    Introducing Grapplesnake USA!!!

Strung up some Grapplesnake Gut hybrids this weekend. Brain dump incoming. I don't doubt the account of @the_faceless_player, but my experience was quite different on the stringing end. My package wasn't brittle at all — very smooth and pliable. To the touch, it feels like there's a light...

2021 Monte-Carlo Masters: Official Tournament Thread

Terrible calls like that one on Evans' serve make me wish that clay tournaments would use HawkEye.

    2021 Yonex VCore 95

I played the two side by side. Wrote some thoughts here: They have slightly different personalities, mostly due to the stiffness differences and VDM, but they also have a...

WTB: Mid-range Stringing Machine (preferably LA area)

I'm on the hunt for an upgrade to my X-2. Looking for something with six-point mounting, good fixed clamps, and constant pull (electronic or dropweight). I'm located in SoCal but willing to drive a bit. Thanks all!

Tennis Warehouse Playtest - Yonex REXIS & SPEED

Got on my first TW playtest! I am stoked. I got the Rexis Comfort. It's marked "Average" on their softness scale. The illustration on the back is different from the Speed — looks like Comfort lacks the (poly?) core bit.

New Yonex Vcore (for 2020 or 2021 ?)

I don't know for sure, but I'm not sure there's actually much variance. The 2021 VC95's I got were both 283 unstrung, which is consistent with the 313-315 strung values that a lot of folks have been seeing. Another major retailer that measures swingweight lists the 2021 version at 310 strung...

    Introducing Grapplesnake USA!!!

I also snagged some Grapplesnake gut, and I'm looking forward to trying it out. Was thinking of adding some Irukandji to demo against Yonex PTF as a cross. @Grapplesnake USA Official (or anyone else who knows), how's tension maintenance on Irukandji compared to your other polys? Do different...

    The gut/poly thread

Gotcha. I guess I'll see how long it lasts me and go from there. Thanks for sharing all that. Are there any other crosses worth trying?

    The gut/poly thread

Awesome, this is just the info I was hoping for. How much do you prestretch PTF? And how long does it last you while performing reasonably well? I do love the feel, but I'd need a lot more than 4-5 hours to make it economically viable.

    The gut/poly thread

Hi friends. I'm just starting to explore the gut/poly world. I tried a hybrid with polytour fire this week, and so far it's been fantastic. But it's sort of an expensive setup, and I'm curious about other options. I have a couple questions for the gut/poly illuminati: 1) Has anyone tried Yonex...

Possible Method for Starting Mains - Flying Clamps, Starting Clamp/Pin

I've found that if I flip one clamp upside down, I can place the clamps on adjacent strings without stacking. I haven't noticed any disadvantages to doing so. I did replace the Gamma clamps with Pro Stringer claws, which I think are a huge improvement. I do string hybrids now and then, and I've...

Possible Method for Starting Mains - Flying Clamps, Starting Clamp/Pin

That makes sense. Seems like a good practice, I'll start doing that.

Possible Method for Starting Mains - Flying Clamps, Starting Clamp/Pin

Hi all - I come seeking the wisdom of better stringers than I. I learned to string last year and use a Gamma X-2 (though I dream of upgrading someday). Up until now, I've started my mains this way: 1) Thread the two center mains 2) Place a starting clamp outside the frame on one main 3)...

    Hurkacz Racquet

So I hear! I didn't love the green 310 (I too preferred the HD), but always wished I'd had the chance to try the blue.
