Playing against a slow hitter HELP !!!

But sometimes the ball falls short yet bounce med or high, then when your try to hit a slice or semi-volley etc. The ball sometimes goes to the net.

Playing against a slow hitter HELP !!!

I agree. But, I do the over-hit even whan I am in position XD actually, I don't know what's happening. I think I get too cautious which interrupts my play resulting with error.

    Leg drive myth?

I think what I understand from drop is that it actually is the rotation of the upper arm. Is it right?

Then maybe what I mean is upper arm/shoulder return.

Exactly. Words/terms/explanations etc are hard to understand and visualize.

Playing against a slow hitter HELP !!!

I see. So not a big swing but somehow near your torso like racket opening and swinging it fast. I will try. However, I have ulnar wrist injury which makes such balls hard to hit for me. Thanks.

Playing against a slow hitter HELP !!!

I think I slow down my stroke when I see such balls so the swing feels unnatural, usually goes out or to the net. But, also I read somewhere that it was suggested not to overhit the ball, but rather place the ball. So, are you sure about flicking it?

    Leg drive myth?

Doesn't ISR (maybe it is ESR) happen after the trophy position? That's where the confusion starts for me, does the drop really happen, or does ISR make it look like the racket drops? (except the intertia momentum)

    Leg drive myth?

I think what I can't do is letting gravity do its job.

Playing against a slow hitter HELP !!!

Slow, sitter balls almost bounce perpendicularly, so it is different than recieving a regular ball during the game. My problem is not being able to reach the ball, but maybe over reaching it if it makes any sense.

Playing against a slow hitter HELP !!!

Also, I think it is not, or only, about positioning, but maybe an over-hitting or slowing down the swing issue. I just feel like spending too much time on focusing on my movements rather than the game when playing against a pusher, a slow player, or similar players.

Playing against a slow hitter HELP !!!

So you return sitter balls with slice etc.?

Thanks. I will try to understand and visualize what you described here. Right now it sounds abit confusing.
