Agreed! This is very different from the image I had at the start of this tread. I was picturing a 12 year old who just started playing in the last year or two.

Okay, he is far more experienced and better than I assumed from your original post. This info does change things. I can now understand and agree with getting a new racquet and experimenting with strings - which I was originally opposed to.

I've watched more than enough high school and junior high school tennis over the last almost ten years so I'll give my opinion...although I'm sure the "equipment experts" will disagree with me. First off don't waste your money on a new racquet at this point. Nothing wrong with a Pure Drive...

Anyone try (or thought about) putting Triax in a wood racquet? I think it would give just the right blend of poly and multi.

I will be ordering an argyle, I'm just not so sure about that red/green color. And the plaid does intrigue me, can't wait to see it.

@KANZA I see you have up a Lendl argyle shirt. When can we expect the next line to come out? And can you give us a tease as to what is coming next year?
