Prestige Mid to become the racquet of the 2020s.

I hear ya. I'm lucky enough to be able to play both styles (def NWSS). I just have to be fully committed to the attacking game plan first. It's actually served me better against agressive / first stike players (beating them to the punch). I got grooved playing counter punching tennis...

Nice. (y) I'm excited about it (and the pattern). 18x20 mids - not optimal for me (MG, YT, IGYT). Look forward to hitting the courts and following along here.

Absolutely. I know I "wait" too much already as it is - even if I hit a punishing shot (which a pusher loves).

Jelly. Nice Nice pick up. I played with the IG mid (the one after this one); and at the time was grinding too much to be effective with it. Marylin Monroe-esque :)

Excellent review. I grew up on old Head (even before prestiges), Ultra and Wilson. Perhaps if you hadn't started with non Babs/modern frames - you might have been more comfortable playing with these full time - as you background is certainly there. I do play more - and love old school...

Prestige Mid to become the racquet of the 2020s.

Damz. I pulled the trigger on the previous model (I couldn't resist the price point at $68 per); and it got a slight nod (although not over the new version (360+)) I just love traditional sticks like this. Thinking, if I can gel with this one a bit (string, lead, etc), I'll look forward to...

    Prince Official - Racquets

Mostly 16x19 patterns. Was giving the Clash Tour a go, but I just couldn’t figure out what was missing. Loved the flex and feel but it was a bit too powerful at times. And didn’t love the beam. I had great success with 16x18 in the past tho. The flex and maneuverability help tame this...

    Prince Official - Racquets

The 100X 305g is exactly what I was hoping it would be. I could be off these boards for like 2/3 months!! This compared to the O3 tour, Tour 100 (16x18) and PP100P - does everything better, most notably for me - an nice uptick in power (ie serve). Stable, solid and feel - provides great...

    2019 Wilson Blade

OK, I'm going for it. I'll start with a leather grip.

What's the main difference you notice? I just can't gel with the v7 16x19 - maybe it's the balance.? used to 8pts HL, but reluctant to customize it.

    Prince Official - Racquets

Interesting, thx for the feedback. I want to like it, but just debating if I go for a 100" stick these days. the 97 looks rounder (perhaps better or more hitting area) than say a PS97? Power level is the same as the Blade 16 x 19 which I just can't gel with at all (perhaps balance ?). But...

    2019 Wilson Blade

Thanks for the reply. What about strings for the 16x19? I tried Tour Bite 1.25 @ 45lbs and it's harsh. I don't remember the string being harsh, but it might just be and I wasn't remembering that the racquet I was using (Prince Tour 100 16x18) was pretty soft. Might go down in gauge and...

    2019 Wilson Blade

I think I’ve read the whole thread, but has anyone slapped on leather grip only, to increase the maneuverability.??? Preferring the pro staff, but wanting to move on to a little more help....I think the balance is throwing me off; 16-19 version.
