Any idea what the swingweight and balance are?

    Head Auxetic Radical

@SupahMan5000 How do you think the Rad MP stacks up against the Percept 100 and 100D, in particular on launch angle and power? For what it’s worth - I’m lower level than you but I do occasionally drill with some 5.0s - I agree that the Rad MP is super stable for its weight.

    Tecnifibre T-Fight ISO

Agreed, I demoed the ISO 300 before eventually choosing the Radical MP as my current frame. ISO 300 had a somewhat higher launch angle and much easier spin, although spin is still reasonable with the Radical MP. Both seemed fairly “raw” feeling to me compared to, say, current Vcores, Blades...

    Tecnifibre T-Fight ISO

I demoed them side by side and felt a difference. ISO 300 much more solid feeling to me, Iga more hollow. The Iga played closer to a Speed MP (but with a different feel), while the ISO 300 seemed to have a little less power but more control.

2023 Yonex VCore Pro Racquets / 2024 Percept Racquets

Very interesting, thank you. I actually have an Auxetic Speed MP that I use as a backup racket, but it’s a little TOO spinny and powerful for my game (and it eats strings like no other). So maybe the 100 wouldn’t be a good fit after all.

2023 Yonex VCore Pro Racquets / 2024 Percept Racquets

@SupahMan5000 Your reviews have been super helpful! Do you have any experience with the Auxetic or 360+ Radical MP? I’m mostly happy with them around 330g/325 SW but in an ideal world would love a little softer feel, a little higher launch angle, a little more spin, and a little more power...

Some easy, rough rules of thumb for calculating recoil weight changes from mods: - Adding weight to the tip and adding the same amount of weight to the butt will increase RW by roughly the same amount. So say you know you want to increase your RW, but you aren't sure where to put the additional...

    Wide shoe help

Wide in what way? My feet are like if you took a normal size 11 foot and lopped off the biggest toes at the end; the end result is I’m a size 9 with a very square toe box. I’m currently using the Head Revolt Evo 2.0 - not the greatest cushioning or upper durability, but it fits my foot well. I...

    Introducing Grapplesnake USA!!!

@Aestheticsaboveallelse I just strung my Rad MP with Alpha, so I have now had Hawk Power, M8, and Alpha in that frame, and I would say that Hawk Power feels much more similar to Alpha than to M8, at least for the first few hours.

    Introducing Grapplesnake USA!!!

I edited my post for clarity. What I meant is that I still like M8 a little more than Hawk Power when fresh but it’s a close call and I would be happy with either. Once you get 5 or so hours in, that’s where I like M8 a whole lot more than Hawk Power.

    Introducing Grapplesnake USA!!!

In my Auxetic Radical MP, I liked both Hawk Power (first string I tried in that racket) and M8 (my current string). I know this sounds contradictory, but to me M8 feels like a soft string that doesn’t have much give. It’s like a firm mattress with a soft topper. The end result is still...

HEAD Radical MP Auxetic vs 360+

I used to play with the Pure Aero VS and now play with the Aux Rad MP, and I agree that the PAVS felt more comfortable despite its higher stiffness. But I would say this is more about the PAVS playing way more comfortable than it should given its stiffness than about the Rad playing less...

    Introducing Grapplesnake USA!!!

Has anyone tried an M8/Ghostwire hybrid? I am really liking M8 in the high 40s in my Aux Radical MP but occasionally wish it was ever so slightly softer, and I have some Ghostwire laying around. (Also will be trying full bed Alpha.)

    My homemade Balance board (picture)

I moved away from this method for exactly the reason you are asking about - it’s very sensitive to how you measure T & G and I could never figure out a method that consistently gave me a T + G that actually equaled total racket weight. Now I use a meter stick and place a cylinder at the 0 end...
