  • I appreciate your posts on the Yonex sticks. I have played with Vcore 98 for past 4 years and enjoy it, but feel like I need to hit spin all the time and pick big targets. My serve is super heavy, but less accurate.

What is your experience serving with the V Core Pro 100 vs the VC98? Thanks for the feedback!

But the reality is, in match play I "excel" (if you could call it that) with the VCP 97D. It's super comfortable, low launch angle to lower likelihood of me sending balls long and it really suits the playing style I'm going for with is aggressive all court. I can swing it confidently. I'll be picking up the Percept 97D once it's available.

I played with the VCP 100 for about a year. Now when I pick it up it just feels like the launch angle is higher than I want and does not feel as maneuverable as a 97 or 98 on my OHBH. I demoed the new VC 98 and new VC 100 and at the time favored the 100. I feel that the 98 lacked put away power and just not as fun as the 100. The 98 with a bit of lead at 10 and 2 did seem to give it a bit more power.

Interesting. I loved the Ez98 but it gave me arm pain. I felt it gave me similar spin to VC98 but better accuracy (more dense string pattern in mains) and I could flatten balls when I wanted to. Tried the Percept 97, but I was late on strokes. It was not as forgiving compared to the VC98/EZ98. I suspect he 97D may be even worse for me. I am hoping that one of the Percept 100s is similar to the EZ98.
