    Heat tolerance and aging

Then I would hope he is up from mountains and the humidity from Atlanta would be oppressing! Besides isn't Ecuador actually not bad in temperature? Google says average in Quito is like only 68 during daytime at summer (actually almost all year). I would consider that kinda cold actually :)...

    Heat tolerance and aging

I'm 43 and grew up in Puerto Rico and Miami. I love playing in heat just because I'm very certain I will outlast the other person. I also make it a point to make sure they run more than me. I have kept the point going on a little longer just to get the other person to run more.

    Head Graphene 360 Speed Racquets

With overgrip and OG Sheep 16 I'm at 336g weight, 12.5" bp and about 327ish swing weight. Will string up the other with Poly to see what I get.

    Head Graphene 360 Speed Racquets

Got 2 360 speed pro's. They are supposed to be 310g but seem to be measuring at 313 and 315! Should be fine but I guess I'm spoiled by Yonex QC. All 3 of my Yonex sticks were within +- 1 g.

    In praise of Kevlar/ZX hybrid!!!

He strung it with a 2lb differential. The main point of making it work was a 10lbs differential. It's like getting free eggs benedict and getting hollandaise sauce on the side, eating the eggs bennedict while tossing away the sauce and declare the plain egg as tasting bad as you thought it...

USTA 3.5 40+ line 3. I'm in all dark. First go around serving I'm using pinpoint (2:26). 2nd go around I'm trying platform (8:26). Still haven't figured out which one I like more :\

Volleys: Can you see the spin of the ball as it crosses the net?

Another example is table tennis. You can get insane spin on the ball and there is barely any markings on it. You can't SEE the spin but you can certainly infer it by the motion of the arm. In fact there is an actual shot that some people do under the table so they can't see the paddle but...

Volleys: Can you see the spin of the ball as it crosses the net?

I don't know if baseball players can actually see the spin. I think they just infer the spin based on the arm and wrist motion and other cues such as initial travel trajectory. I mean this is a sport where hitting 30% is considered very good! Seriously watching a 90mph baseball pitch from 10...

    Yonex VCORE series 2018

So I play well and can easily interchange between the 3 rackets in my bag and I'm not sure if I should even bother getting a 2nd racket of one of them. I have a Tour G 310, a Vcore Pro 97 310, and a Vcore 98. Each hit just a bit different from one another but are very close in they way they...

How much harder is the serve compared to a forehand?

All valid for forehand practice really. For me: No backboard near me. Ball machine $$$. Drop feeds are ok but very different when ball is coming at you. Serves you do same in practice as in match situation.

How much harder is the serve compared to a forehand?

As a current competitive badminton player Serves are super easy. (You get to toss your own ball! YAY!) Forehands were MUCH harder (What, no wrist? Apply spin to ball?) Also you can practice serves by yourself easily, can't really practice hitting a forehand by yourself.

    first serve for 5'6 player?

So you have to be 6ft to hit flat? An by flat I mean low RPM. I'm sure it's next to impossible to hit a 0 RPM ball. I'm only 1" taller than OP but I have been told my serves are flat. Vid of serve is on this thread. I'm not complaining, hell I would be thrilled if my serves would be as fast...

    So really, how many hours?

I do focus on high contact point and loose ish wrist. I also remind myself to hit up and keep chest pointed up. Everything else just kinda flows. For me I didn't have to practice racket drop. It came naturally from years of competitive badminton (overheads are like 80% of the game and it's...

    So really, how many hours?

I did and just took them as guidelines. Found what felt comfortable and tweaked from there. I also do take an occasional lesson here and there and I ask the instructor to evaluate the serve and motion and get pointers. From then on is just repetition until you gel with it.
