Donnay's new Pentacore line of rackets

I'm glad you like your new Donnay. I think they have good racquets, but unfortunately they have some questionable people at the helm of the company these days. Recently I've put my Donnay's to rest in favor of a Prince Tour Pro 98. It feels quite plush and has a great weight distribution imo. It...

Let's Gather All Grip Specs (Weight & Thickness) Into One Thread

This is a new offering from Genesis, who is under new ownership. I haven't tried this one, but would like to give it a whirl sometime. Curious your thoughts if you ever get around to trying it.

Dunlop becomes new official balls partner at AO

Wow, that's not been my experience with the Dunlop Championship Hard Court balls at all. I live in Florida, a sub-tropical climate, and they still hold up quite well and don't "get heavier" like those told timers were saying. Maybe they're just old and their arms get heavy in general lol...

Dunlop becomes new official balls partner at AO

This is good news! I have been using Dunlop balls for years now and love their "Championship Hard Court" tennis balls in particular. For your money, I don't think you can get a better quality ball at that price point.

Dunlop becomes new official balls partner at AO

That's awesome. Dunlop makes a fantastic tennis ball, and I've been using the Championship Hard Court for years. Where I'm living, they offer the best bang for the buck imo. They're about the same price as the cheaper Wilson's and Penn's but last longer and don't feel as cheap...

^ sorry man, already picked one up elsewhere. I wish you the best in selling it though, as its a solid stick!

Kyrgios: "Grass is pure tennis, clay is not"

Its really hard to find grass tennis courts in America. They are especially rare in my home state of Florida. That being said, I can say we are fortunate to have clay and hard courts pretty much EVERYWHERE. Especially hard courts...

    Anyone play Donnay?

Donnay makes a great frame, but you may want to consider getting them from anywhere BUT their actual website. They have pissed off a large number of customers with their incredibly shady pricing scheme that seems to change overnight, at will. Case in point - Howie (the supposed savior of Donnay...

Donnay's new Pentacore line of rackets

Well, I think Donnay is probably on the way out. They have pissed off a large number of customers with their incredibly shady pricing scheme that seems to change overnight, at will. Case in point - Howie (the supposed savior of Donnay and new CEO), has all but removed Facebook reviews and the...

Anyone else here not really interested in new frames or all of this "must have" technology?

What exactly do you mean by that? Are you saying manufacturers are using the exact same sticks, adding bologna "technology" to them and giving them a new paint job to sell as an entirely different racquet at a later date?

Anyone else here not really interested in new frames or all of this "must have" technology?

I think the cycle of new releases is just too frequent. I mean a new model every year? It reminds me of this brewery that special released itself into failure. Every month they were releasing a "special release" beer and people just lost interest. There are many examples of this, and pretty much...

Double AR Strings - worth the cost to import?

^ Idk, I live in the states and have never used them aside from the Twice Dragon which was somewhat soft for a poly. You're local, try a pack and find out for yourself :)

Ultimate Comfort Racquet - help me narrow it down

If you're looking for comfort, your list is sorely missing out on one of the most comfortable racquet developers out there, Donnay. They are solid core racquets with lower flex ratings and a great response yet smooth, comfortable feel. You're selling yourself short by not checking them out...

Anyone else here not really interested in new frames or all of this "must have" technology?

Every time my game develops or my tastes change, I find myself discovering slightly older model racquets with specs that fit the bill. I always end up buying either lightly used, or NOS frames from 2-6 years ago or so. Anyone else here find new racquets to be overkill and just not a good...
