    2019 Wilson Blade

Bone stock, with overgrip, strung with 4G no dampener: 328.5 grams, 4 HL, 335 sw. It’s a monster and makes me realize how out of shape I am. If I am not preparing well and not moving my feet I am in trouble. Otherwise, the blend of comfort, power on demand, predictability of response, and...

    2019 Wilson Blade

It's a great racquet. If the 18x20 is difficult to wield, you may want to try the 16x19. It has less weight in the head and more weight in the throat. So it's easier to swing, but it won't be as stable/solid feeling. Tradeoffs. Also, keep in mind manufacturing variance in case your...

    Humbert strings?

Looks like 4G to me. I haven’t been able to find much info. Also looks like he used to play the 18x20 string pattern. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Live by the Blade...Die by the Blade...

Where are you located? I would love to buy your Kblade or one from your local store. In addition to the stiffness, the kblade will swing faster and may be less stable. It has less weight in the head than the v7. Also, the kblade does not have parallel drilling. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    BLX Blade - New Blades

I played the 2013 all black blade 16x19 and it was stiff af. I think the 18x20 supposedly used by tsitsi plays softer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    BLX Blade - New Blades

Over the years wilson has increased the stability of the 18x20 blades by adding weight at 3 and 9. The 2015, cv, and v7 all have 14+ twistweight stock. It is very noticeable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    BLX Blade - New Blades

Just picked one up in pristine condition. It is slightly underspec at 300-301 grams. Do you know what the target unstrung swingweight is for the kblade? Right now I’m at 290 so if I add 3 grams to the tip I will be around 300. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dumb Question About a Lead Tape Adjustment:

Lead at 3 and 9 will give you the most twist weight (stability) increase. It will not increase the size of the sweet spot too much. Lead at 10 and 2 (or 11 and 1) will increase twistweight less than 3 and 9 but will increase the size of the sweet spot a little more.

    2019 Wilson Blade

I had an underspec v7 at one point, I thought it was a little anemic due to the flex and not enough weight in the head. I agree 100% with your comparison to the 2015 and thoughts on the string pattern...it is fairly open for an 18x20.

Correction: the 2015 is MORE stiff.
