Talk about your most discouraging moments in tennis. How did you respond?

Cool that you mustered a comeback, eventhough you came up short. Event planners should have spaced things out better. You were the better player, hopefully you get another chance in future match.

    Demand to serve properly

I blast a lot of serves, sometimes they don't come back other times they are return winners I can't get to. When I throw in a slow off speed pitch many times the returner dumps it in the net or sails it over the sidelines. Variation can earn you some points.

Shot Tolerance: The ugly beast at every court

My whole point is why spot them any points, unless your in some kind of a rush to finish a best of 5 sets in 20 minutes. For the "spotted" points just go easier on them hit it so you'll get a shot back, treat them like a student and when you get bored finish the point or let them finish it. If...

Shot Tolerance: The Elephant in Tennis Tips/Instruction

That's why it's fun to pummel it. It appears to be invincible but is eroding from within.

Shot Tolerance: The ugly beast at every court

I would never spot points or accept them. It's just not part of the game I would enter into. It's a way to focus on the score as opposed to playing points. If I play a less experienced player I would hit some shots to them focus on my consistency and their development occasionally hit...

What should I string my POG Tour 93 at ?

I would prob try gut at 60-62 main and poly 54-56 in a pure drive. Its got wide crosses and fairly open on the sides.

Playing with a tennis ball in hand?

Yeah it was the marketing of "you will use what we provide" rather than using a little thought to come up with something better.

    Full Western Grip for OHB?

looks good, you get down pretty low and can make it work, plus you hit the slice when required. The one at 16 sec though you needed to get lower cause it hit the bottom of racquet and into net. I still find myself occasionally switching to western bh with positive results. Coach said to have...

Playing with a tennis ball in hand?

The pocket evidently wasn't invented until the 1980's. Real bunch of Rocket scientists out there.

    Biking anyone?

I remember I had to add some spacers but my memory fails me me. I was able to rig the brake up (cantilever) not sure if I needed a new headstock. Mine was pretty easy but the newer parts were available. Going back to hardtop might need to make sure all the parts exist or have a shop take...

Continuing Pronation vs Non-Continuing Pronation On The Serve (2019)

I haven't videoed lately but will be doing so. Not sure why my serve ended up pronating early over time , except to say that I didn't have any checkpoints, whether they be by "feel" or video, or understanding in general. I think long term understanding what's going on is critical to improving...

Continuing Pronation vs Non-Continuing Pronation On The Serve (2019)

Over the weekend played twice. For the last year or so have had trouble purposely hitting the out wide deuce serve. I admit my experience for aiming serves was never well defined. I developed a serve of which had no checkpoints and was not really understood what was going on back there. Then...

    Biking anyone?

I added a front shock to my bike 10 years ago, I try to keep it preloaded so it takes more pressure to compress and adjust my weight back when standing and pedaling. Overall I like it especially downhill on bumpy trails. When it bottoms out can throw you off a little plus the distance of the...
