Tourna Big Hitter Silver 7 Tour

Bite on the ball between the two is pretty close, and it's hard to know how much I subconsciously change my swing when I know I'm using a string with certain characteristics. I feel like I get about an extra two feet of depth off a rally groundstroke with S7T versus a thin gauge Tour Bite...

Tourna Big Hitter Silver 7 Tour

I did this comparson a few months back. S7T is more powerful, less crisp, slightly higher launch angle, slightly better spin capability, better tension maintenance, and slightly worse control.

    Wilson Trinity Balls

I looked around to see if I could buy a can/carton of three Micro X balls to compare with the Triniti but can only find bags of 72 and 144 balls. Anyone know where just a three ball package is available?

    Wilson Trinity Balls

My understanding is that it is a low pressure ball, with a couple of PSI versus the 12-14 PSI used in regular pressurized balls. It has been forever since I've used a pressureless ball but my recollection is that they all felt and played significantly differently than a normal ball. The...

    Best thin polys

In my experience, the 17 gauge version of Tourna Silver 7 Tour has better tension maintenance than Tour Bite, Revolution, or Hyper-G in a similar gauge while offering similar bite on the ball.

    What is the COUNTERVAIL feature?

3 and 9 are the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock position on the hoop of the racquet when you are holding it with the handle pointed straight down. Many players like a leather grip because it is firm and maintains the bevel edges of the handle. The overgrip is thin and maintains those bevels while...

    Wilson Trinity Balls

I have the new cartons of Triniti balls and will be playing with them. The new design is certainly less of the Sith look: Our summer ended pretty suddenly and overnight temps are right around freezing. Though I'm playing indoors, the court surface and air temps are way cooler than during...

    Wilson Trinity Balls

I've hit now with the production balls and they seem to have a little more bounce and elasticity than the pre-production balls I used previously. If anything, they feel more similar to the US Open balls now, with a high but slower bounce. One of the new balls did have the defect previously...

Might be that UC is not as susceptible to incoming ball spin or that you are just better at instinctively compensating! Sounds like it is worth a try for me.

Tourna Big Hitter Silver 7 Tour

Two of the most spin capable strings I've tried were Volkl V-Square and Grapplesnake Cube, both square profile with very sharp edges like UC. Only problem was that both were very sensitive to incoming ball spin and I had poor playability duration with both. V-Square seemed to be made of a soft...

    2019 Wilson Blade

Tour Bite and Hyper-G are kind of the darlings of the Solinco line, but I actually found Revolution to be the best compromise. Hyper-G is a bit too muted for me and gets more muted as it ages so the impact feel wasn't really to my liking. Tour Bite is a bit too crisp and was jarring when I...

**LONG** time ago! And of course the missus still remembers the incident as that was the first and only time we've used a fire extinguisher inside our house!

Very curious to hear your impressions on S7T. I didn't get around to trying Ultra Cable - after testing a bunch of strings, I just found that I preferred as thin of a string as possible and UC was supposedly on the thick side for a 1.23 spec string.

Tourna Big Hitter Silver 7 Tour

I haven't had enough tension change to really detect if there has been any launch angle change. I originally came across S7T during the Tennis Warehouse playtest, and I strung it up in my racquet at this exact tension the very first time. The string that was in there before the S7T was Tour...

    2019 Wilson Blade

You're still a lightweight having **only** demolished a chandelier. I broke a 32 inch tube TV. That was on. And yes, it did spark as the cracked tube imploded. But the extension on my backhand was aaahhhhhmazing.......... Best of all, no scratches on the racquet!
