Found this gem at my local thrift store for around $7. I don't remember much about this frame except it was in the mail order section of Tennis and World Tennis Magazines back in the 80's.
Added an over grip and took it out to the courts - hits very solid.
It's been slow going recently in my acquisition efforts, but found these two frames within the last couple of months for about $7 a piece - a Wilson Kobra Team and a Head Microgel Extreme Mid Plus.
Both have been cleaned up and re-gripped as shown now.
I have a Rossignol F-200 in the same boat. Half the grommets crumbled after I restrung her. I had to cut the strings out as they were cutting into the graphite! I think Fittex individual grommets may be the only solution as in my case.
I had a similar experience with my Klipper while stringing oversized frames(107 sq in and over). Perhaps the mounts slipped or buckled underload - I ended up with a racquet that was more "round" than "oval". Luckily this did not have any permanent effects on the frame and they returned to normal...
Awesome find Atatu!
Just got this yesterday from a thrift store - Wimbledon Boron Pro for $4.98. I'd say about a 6/10 in shape.
It will go nicely along with a Wimbledon Graphite All Pro I have somewhere tucked away in storage.
