Gamma X-ELS Review With Pictures and Details

Okay, nothing to worry with that sound. Looks like this a "regular" sound when fine-tuning the tension. Spoke to the dealer and tried two other models that were in the shop. All made the same sound when fine balancing the tension. Guess my ears made it worse than it is...

Gamma X-ELS Review With Pictures and Details

It is a crackling, grinding sound. Cant really locate it though. But once you clamp the string, it vanishes immediately.. really strange Oh well, so this is not the regular sound of the machine - guess its time for the dealer / manufacturer to take care

Gamma X-ELS Review With Pictures and Details

A question for all ELS owners - when the motor is fine adjusting (after it reached the desired tension)... what kind of sound does it make then? I have a machine here and the sound is "grinding-ish" after the beep. Before you just hear the motor rotating but with the fine-dosing it makes this...

    Better Option for Clash 98

Oh, okay 60 RA is definitely an improvement from the last version. I used to play the (green) HD Version with 59RA and that one was a great stick - but also a bit more jarring than the Clash 98. Will try the new version for sure (y) But... In my experience all (my) Yonex sticks were a bit...

    Better Option for Clash 98

I agree that the Yonex' are more connected but they don't have the smoothness of the Clash. If you want a raquet that is easy on the arm/elbow go with the Clash - the Yonex lineup is not on the same level

Wise 2086 v14 vs Gamma Rotational (X-ELS) vs others (loudness)

Well, that is not a bad idea but here in Europe we don't have so many options unless you go all in with 5k + . The Alpha Ghost 2 for example is not available nor the Tourna machine. That leaves WISE combinations, Gamma and the Baiardo L. But for roughly 200 raquets per year (and 60-70% my...

Wise 2086 v14 vs Gamma Rotational (X-ELS) vs others (loudness)

Thank you all for your input. @Wes especially for making that effort. Kudos (y) This has been very helpful already. One thing that I know for sure, is that I will turn off the beep on either one... in my opinion the Gamma is significantly calmer (I guess "quiet" is not the right word) but...

Wise 2086 v14 vs Gamma Rotational (X-ELS) vs others (loudness)

Well, not be understood wrong here - I won't pick a machine simply by the sound it makes. But the noise level is part of the equation for me And since my volume is much higher than I anticipated I thought it might be a good opportunity to re-evaluate my machine choice (if necessary)

Wise 2086 v14 vs Gamma Rotational (X-ELS) vs others (loudness)

Hey everybody, I currently string on a Stringmaster Pro 50 drop weight machine https://www.tennisman.de/en/Other/Stringing-Machines/stringing-machine-TENNISMAN-StringMaster-Pro-50.html but my stringing is way more than expected. Reason A) I simply restring more often and experiment with...

    Adidas Ubersonic 4 Thread

I have to say that I really enjoy my Ubersonic 4! They have a great fit, even for my rather wide feet and high arch. Ventilation is great, I hate it when I get hot feet after a couple of games. These prevent that. Also nice cushioning, not too much so you still have a "fast" shoe. (quite...

    Gravity vs Clash

My experiences with these two line were: - Gravity Pro (great frame, a lot of touch, precise shots, great serves, can be a bit heavy in long matches) - Gravity Tour (comparable to the Pro but also different, less stable, easier power, more „tweener“ genes) - Gravity MP (fun raquet but not heavy...

Yonex VCore Pro 97 HD review...

Totally agree. The VCP97HD is a very versatile frame. Serve & Volley, defensive placement shots that go EXACTLY where you want them to be. attacking winners - all possible with this this one. But it is not an easy frame and it is not made for those endless topspin rallies from the baseline...
