Your Favorite Multi? (comparing multi strings)

Yesterday and today I only used the stick with fb Velocity and played great...control, access to spin when I needed it, arm feels good. I may just buy a reel of it and jump out of this rabbit hole (for a while at least):)

Your Favorite Multi? (comparing multi strings)

After getting TE messing around with poly and poly hybrids last year, I've been going back and forth with fb Velocity and fb Yonex Tour Super 850 Pro. I'm pretty much split down the middle. I sense more feel and spin with the Y, but there is more string movement compared to Velocity. Y seems to...

Adjusting as you get older (50+)?

Great summation tennisbike! Reading thru all the posts here are the primary themes as I see them... Injury prevention -stretching (pre/post, dynamic) -rest and recovery (sleep, foam rolling, yoga and not playing as many consecutive days) -resistance training (bodyweight or light weights with...

    wide at mid foot

I second the Diadora Speed Star K Elite AG. I where the black with gold; not the greatest from an appearance standpoint, but they do the job. They're wide in the forefoot and provide great stability (lower to the ground IMO). I went to these in the process of overcoming/managing a Morton's...

Adjusting as you get older (50+)?

Agree with your remark about avoiding complainers. Same with user92626’s comment about looking for matched attitudes and spirits. For me tennis is about fitness, fun, play and mental therapy. Grateful every time I step on the court.

What are you doing for off court workouts?

Adjusting as you get older (50+)?

I know the thread "Seniors lounge (over 50) come on in" exists but I wanted to start this thread to find out how other forum members have adapted as they've become older in order to continue playing, stay competitive, get fulfillment from the game, etc.. Areas to consider and comment on...

Pretty and Perfect vs. Effective and Realistic

Can you elaborate on drop step with a crossover step? I get it moving back for an overhead, but I'm not sure I understand on a 1HBH groundstroke unless you're referring to getting into position on a deep ball.

Pretty and Perfect vs. Effective and Realistic

In that case I’m ahead of schedule!

Pretty and Perfect vs. Effective and Realistic

The insights and suggestions shared so far are excellent and have given me a lot to consider. My immediate thoughts are to keep at it, doubling down on footwork, better shoulder turn and distinguishing between the 1HBH rally ball and the 1HBH TS winner going for the later only when it's a...

Pretty and Perfect vs. Effective and Realistic

Does anyone have advice for confronting that point where you have to let go of that quest to have pretty and perfect (technically sound) strokes and instead resolve to focus on making the most of your game and abilities? I don’t mean giving up on continuing to attempt to improve, but facing...

    Head Velocity

Since switching to fb Velocity and fb Yonex Tour Super 850 Pro two months ago my elbow/arm pain has dramatically changed for the better. It's not completely gone, but definitely going in the right direction. I'm tending to the Yonex because I feel I'm able to generate more spin compared to the...

    tennis post prostate removal?

That you’ve been able to ski so much is good news. Being patient is a big part of the recovery; the leakage is a pain but that will most likely continue to improve. I am a point where I don’t consume any caffeine and never really consumed sugary drinks (juice or soda) for the same reason you’re...
