    Head Velocity

My experience is that after the initial settling in VS holds tension up to the point it’s been breaking. Based on your input I’ll start with 55/52 and go from there.

    Head Velocity

I've been playing with VS Touch 16 for the past several months and it has definitely helped my tennis elbow. I also like the control and touch I have with it. Downside is the cost with how frequently I'm breaking strings so I'm thinking of crossing with Velocity. Should I do Velocity 16 or 17...

    Head Velocity

I’m recovering from TE that I’m pretty convinced resulted from experimenting with fb poly and poly hybrids last year. As a result of this thread I switched to fb Velocity at the beginning of the year which helped considerably, but still not over TE completely despite flexbar, massage and...

Your Favorite Multi? (comparing multi strings)

Yesterday and today I only used the stick with fb Velocity and played great...control, access to spin when I needed it, arm feels good. I may just buy a reel of it and jump out of this rabbit hole (for a while at least):)

Your Favorite Multi? (comparing multi strings)

After getting TE messing around with poly and poly hybrids last year, I've been going back and forth with fb Velocity and fb Yonex Tour Super 850 Pro. I'm pretty much split down the middle. I sense more feel and spin with the Y, but there is more string movement compared to Velocity. Y seems to...

Adjusting as you get older (50+)?

Great summation tennisbike! Reading thru all the posts here are the primary themes as I see them... Injury prevention -stretching (pre/post, dynamic) -rest and recovery (sleep, foam rolling, yoga and not playing as many consecutive days) -resistance training (bodyweight or light weights with...

    wide at mid foot

I second the Diadora Speed Star K Elite AG. I where the black with gold; not the greatest from an appearance standpoint, but they do the job. They're wide in the forefoot and provide great stability (lower to the ground IMO). I went to these in the process of overcoming/managing a Morton's...

Adjusting as you get older (50+)?

Agree with your remark about avoiding complainers. Same with user92626’s comment about looking for matched attitudes and spirits. For me tennis is about fitness, fun, play and mental therapy. Grateful every time I step on the court.

What are you doing for off court workouts?

Can you elaborate on the non-racquet court fitness session?

Adjusting as you get older (50+)?

I know the thread "Seniors lounge (over 50) come on in" exists but I wanted to start this thread to find out how other forum members have adapted as they've become older in order to continue playing, stay competitive, get fulfillment from the game, etc.. Areas to consider and comment on...

Pretty and Perfect vs. Effective and Realistic

Can you elaborate on drop step with a crossover step? I get it moving back for an overhead, but I'm not sure I understand on a 1HBH groundstroke unless you're referring to getting into position on a deep ball.
