    Tecnifibre Official - Racquets

Curious what tension you put on the gut? I’m usually at 50 lbs with my Prestige, I think I need to bump up a couple of pounds for tf40.

    Tecnifibre Official - Racquets

After reading so many good things about TF40 305, I bought one to see how it is. With leather grip + 6g of tungsten tape under the grip, plus OG and dampener, mine is 339g and 31.8 cm balance. It’s a really good stick! My main racquets are Graphene Touch PT57As with pretty similar specs (342...

Pure Storm Tour GT vs Prince Classic Response 97

I’m not familiar with modern 16x20 frames other than the Yonex VCORE 95, which is a 95 sq inch. I think some frames from the Head Gravity lines are 16x20, so those might be similar to Pure Storm Tour GT?

Pure Storm Tour GT vs Prince Classic Response 97

Fans of old classics, anyone has tried both and willing to share your thoughts on these frames? Thanks

Yonex 97HD specs close to Head PT 280?!

Agree with the above comment. Despite the weight, 97HD felt very low powered to me. PT280 is plusher-feeling, feels more connected to the ball, more plow through, awesome for serve and volley. 97HD is a good all around stick too - note that, to me, it feels firmer than what the stiffness rating...

Poly/Multi Hybrid: PPC, Multifeel, or RIP Control for crosses?

You’re absolutely right in that way too many variables and choices. I do my own stringing and I’ve tried many, many hybrid combinations. It helps that I do my own stringing, otherwise I’d just try a couple of setups and go with whichever I like better. I have no issues with shaped poly eating...

Poly/Multi Hybrid: PPC, Multifeel, or RIP Control for crosses?

Are you a string breaker or do you worry about durability? I play with 18x20 and not a string breaker so I use 18g Confidential and 17g Head Velocity MLT (previously I used Genesis Thunder Blast - it was awesome but a discontinued product so it’s hard to find). Find the poly tension that works...

Anyone use Full Poly at super low tension for arm safe alternative to gut?

I do poly / multi at 44/46. Soft, good spin, control. At 46 the multi should not break as easily but everyone’s experience is different. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

TF X1 Biphase + Yonex PTP issue

I used to rely a lot on Stringway, TWU data, TW reviews etc. But I realized that I often disagreed with what everyone else said / suggested. I recently listened to a TW Podcast (Brittany interviewed the Head product development guy) and my takeaway from that interview: string is a VERY personal...

    Price advice: PT57A

I’d say for $500 it’s probably not a rip off. But wouldn’t it also make sense to get a used one that’s in excellent condition but a lot cheaper? Just an idea. For $500, if it has a player’s code / name on it and h/she is a former top 20, then it’s a steal!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Price advice: PT57A

Got it, thanks. I’ve gone through a couple of years of building my current collection (and selling Angells and Yonexes in the process), only to end up with a few frames that’s basically the same mold - pt280, a few PT57s. I need some diversity and need something with a little more pop, more...

    Price advice: PT57A

That’s great to hear, thanks for the advice. I guess I was the one who brought up “RA” on this thread, didn’t realize that that would cause some stir. I didn’t mean to complain about 2.0 or its stiffness rating. My apologies if that came across as annoying. I’m guessing there’s a big thread...

    Price advice: PT57A

From what I’ve seen, the prices sometimes correspond to whose racquet it was. I think there was one on the big Auction site a 57A that was Andy Murray’s and asking price was almost $4K. I think OP is talking about a new PT57A, perhaps it was meant for a certain player and for whatever reason...

    Price advice: PT57A

I have a couple of them, both were pre-owned in good condition and have the Graphene Touch paint. I’m no expert on PT57A, but the pj or the version on which the racquet is based on might affect the price? I paid significantly less than what you’re contemplating here, but they were pre-owned...
