What changed for Djokovic from July 2014 to change career trajectory ?

Fed was better in 2015. That's not even a dicussion. Especially from Wimledon to the USO. Murray was losing to Djokovic and Federer but that's pretty much it. While in 2014 he couldn't beat a lot of players. Wawrinka was the same in both years. If anything he was slightly better at RG 15 than...

What changed for Djokovic from July 2014 to change career trajectory ?

Competition in 2014 was tougher than in 2015? LMAO. Federer was better in 2015 than in 2014, so was Murray. And Nadal was was only relevant for the first half of 2014.

Sandgren declares Djokovic as the greatest hard court player of all time

His endurance in his prime was pretty amazing though.

To Fed fans who talk about weak opponents for Djokovic

Djokovic played well at Wimbledon 2014 but you can't deny the mental demons he had in that match. As for USO 14, he got married right after Wimby 14 which is why he wasn't in the best shape right up until Beijing 14.

To Fed fans who talk about weak opponents for Djokovic

The same person who almost choked it away from 2-1 5-2 up. That was the match that changed Djokovic's career and made Djokovic 2015-16. Also the current Djokovic who isn't as good but might be even more mentally strong. Had Djokovic lost that match he would be at Borg's tally at best and...

To Fed fans who talk about weak opponents for Djokovic

I wouldn't bet on him beating any of them. He was a complete and utter joke in big moments back then. Fed was Michael Jordan compared to Djokovic 2012-2014

To Fed fans who talk about weak opponents for Djokovic

No Djokovic 2012-2014 loses to any member of the big 4 in any round outsids of the AO.

Nadal tops the leaderboard at ROS - It’s official

Yeah I'm not sure what happened. The rankings did seem strange to me ahahaha

Nadal tops the leaderboard at ROS - It’s official

These rankings actually aren't true. For some reason the ATP site is slow for me today. I just checked again. Nadal is the best server on clay for the past 52 weeks which proves my point even further.

This is what I am trying to tell people.

Nadal tops the leaderboard at ROS - It’s official

According to ATP stats from 2019 here are the top 5 servers on clay. 1. Federer 2. Sam Querrey 3. Nadal 4. Kyrgios 5. Opelka. Are we saying that Nadal has a better serve than Kyrgios or Opelka? Nadal's serve/return combo isn't what makes him special on clay

Nadal tops the leaderboard at ROS - It’s official

Yes but two surfaces are more than one. Plus Nadal is almost impossible to hit through on a clay court which is why he has such high stats. I bet you anything he is harder to break than Fed on a clay court. Does that make him a better server than Fed? It has little to do with his serve or...

Nadal tops the leaderboard at ROS - It’s official

Exactly. Nadal's return as a shot is nothing compared to Novak's. He is a great returner because of what he does after returning

In case you're wondering the best Djokovic has ever returned was 2011. I believe it was at 38%. While most years he is at 33%-35% @Hitman
