    Diary of a Racketaholic

I've been lurking in the shadows lately. Last hit was around Christmas time. At the end of the session I tweaked my left knee and had to stop. I took a few weeks off and thought it would get better like most things usually do. Anyhow, it didn't really progress and hurt in a way I hadn't felt...

Yeah, that's a no brainer. Every time a go into Play It Again and they have anything interesting it's way overpriced, like an old beat up Pure Aero for $175. Stopped dropping by there because it was always ridculous.

Elicits serious deja vu of recent and more distant holic fugue state episodes I’ve had. They always left me wondering why I’m compelled at different intervals to test things out to only discover I already have what I want. @JGads it’s f’in good to have you back!

This right here. I think those without sensitive elbows can play poly until it breaks. That's not me. I had one bout of TE and it went on for a long time. Actually, it's what made me a holic. I had to take things into my own hands and figure out rackets and strings for myself since my local pro...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

I need some gimpy friends. Three weeks into this left knee thing and only slightly better. My tennis friends aren't calling. I think they're trying to be good and keep me off the court. Bit the bullet and got an appointment with my Ortho doc Wednesday. I have the PSVS ready to go. I'm itching to...

I’m at 338g with strings, og and dampener. Maybe it the 16g Hawk crosses that are stealthily pushing the weight up. Not sure how much to lead up the tip and counterbalance the butt end. That’s the thing about the 351.1s they are way less static and swing but you wouldn’t know it.

@Kozzy what were you’re starting and final specs on your PSVS? Oh, I see your final spec in your sig.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Sticks were waiting when I got home. PJ is filthy in person. They should make more rackets in this color. All 4 came in at 314-315g static and 3/4 were 287 SW. The 4th one was 283 SW. @topspn @tim-ay what fo you guys think- no point in the lowest SW spec since it’s not that hefty to start with...

Agree, Sinner strike me as a smart Mofo. He knows his spec for sure.

I think that we can all agree that there are gear heads and non gear heads. All of us here are gear heads. Otherwise we wouldn't be here. I'm unrepentant. I like to know everything about everything. Just came out of the womb this way. Sounds like you like the rad pro and maybe it could be like a...

Mine should be arriving today. Will get stats on them and then get one strung up. Thinking lead at 12 right out of the box since it seems almost universally agreed upon here. I'm going to start with my reference string job Hawk Rough / Hawk at 50lbs and go from there.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

I think I've established for myself that getting a new racket is not really about the racket. After such a good long streak with the 351 I tune into this infernal place and @Kozzy and @tim-ay tickle my interest about the PSVS. I flash back to looking at the racket sometime before but putting the...

Yeah, 351’s are not going anywhere. I think the Babs is a classic though, and something of a pro stock frame. A future classic pro stock frame for $ one fiddy is hard to pass up.
